Got the truck back today with a bedlined back bumper. Put a new step pad on and it looks great. Imo bulletliner looks and feels quite similar to line-x.

Im thinking the blue license plate light housings are a tad too much. Only plastidipped them blue cuz they were all scratched up and figured if i absolutely hate the blue and cant get the dip off they were junk anyways

They also worked on the issue with my bumper being crooked. They got it within an inch so definitely an improvement, the guy said at some point the truck got hit on the drivers side rear and tweaked the frame a bit. He showed me a couple of crappy looking welds the PO must’ve done to try and fix it without the insurance company and carfax knowing

Getting the bumper cover tomorrow morning and I’ll get the front end finished up

That’s why the 2500/3500 4wd uses a SFA were as you have an IFS. I’ve seen a guy put a set up on a 1500 but y’all don’t need it cause the bump steer isn’t the same as ours.

Installed my new set of chrome wheels, they look awesome!View attachment 175309
Those SRT replicas? I love em! I'm considering getting some for my truck cuz they're about the only 20" 5-lug wheel I like enough to consider buying lol

Soo does anyone happen to have the wiring diagram to the 07-08 taillights? I'm trying to see how much different they are to the 02-06s.

Also gotta post the finished bumpers inna bit. Turned out pretty good imo

It’s actually because it’s not a mega cab, Mega cabs 1500’s are no different than a 2500 other than one extra leaf spring, the 1500 mc’s have all 2500 parts.

My camera was hazy on these for some reason, but here are the afters. The blue tag lamps are going away soon and I’ll be adding fogs to cover the holes on the front

I do have the fog light connectors up front but I doubt I have the wiring into the instrument cluster for them to actually work. I may wire them up on a separate switch for now and fully wire them in sometime later on

Truck is empty. I poured in a bottle of sea foam as I do every fill up and I filled the fuel tank a few minutes ago with 89. The truck spit it up when the nozzle clicked and I didn’t even have to burp it. Look like I will be inspecting the Evap system and vent valve for a restriction for the rest of the day. Dang it, now I need a water hose, my crappy paint job is gettin messed up. :(:)

I have quite a bit of work this weekend. Simple stuff. I am going to paint my plastics and wiper arms with bumper and trim paint and then flat clear them. Then 303 them for UV protection. Sorry for the pictures quality, my iphone says its temperature is to high and it needs to cool down before use. I am going to throw my phone in the freezer for a few.
*Me reading the paint directions...Use between 50F and 90F...Dang it* I may be powered coating these right out of the can.. :(:D

Sanded and polish the headlights slightly before removing the plastics. Waiting on the primer to dry. It's only about 115F right now so it should only be a few minutes. Because of the temperature there are variations seen on the bumper due to the paint drying right out of the can.

For reference from the original question, mine is a 1500 Mega....

So solid axle, and that’s the reason I changed out my steering stabilizer.

Keep up the good work guys.

I bought a Mopar fog light kit that included the lights and bezels, the short wire harness from each light to the connector on the driver's side and the headlight switch for the dash. Luckily I didn't have to program anything, the fog lights worked once I connected wire harness and replaced the switch inside.

I have not finished but I painted, sprayed clear and reinstalled all the plastics and wiper arms. Tomorrow I will color sand and fix the variations due to the heat (115F). One day I will get to paint my truck.. saving up. *sigh*

I got some more stuff for my truck in the mail. I got my driver door latch so now finally the dash light will turn off the door ajar message. I replaced it a few minutes ago. As you can see the door dust/water plastic panel glue makes a mess at this temperature. I live outside the city in the desert, its currently 130F ish degrees and sometimes the fasteners and ratchets get to hot to hold, but I love my truck and if I waited till later I would be in the house all day with nothing to do. Don't get me wrong, it's perfect outside, I love it. I tried to sand the yellow off my license plate light lenses but they just cracked so I ordered some 6k brightness LED assemblies. Till tomorrow.

This may be the route I go. How much did you end up paying for the kit? I'm seeing some that are $210 bucks and some that are $140. They all say they're mopar but thats a suspicious price difference lmao

It's either the kit or going to the salvage yard and taking what I need. Figure it would be cheaper at a salvage but the salvage I go to I have to do the labor of removing them. The salvage has a loaded 08, and man its nice being the only one stealing parts from that and the other 6 3rd gens on their lot LOL

I don't mind pulling it myself usually but copperheads are getting worse around here and I'd rather not meet one while I'm laying down underneath a truck and waist-high weeds

you got proof the only difference is one extra leaf.. because everything ive seen in person , there is no difference in the 1500 mc and 2500 rear leaf packs..

Installed my new Rapidometer this morning on the way to work. It lets me know when I have unusual driving habits.

I paid about $150 for the kit several years ago. The part # was 82209047 and isn't easy to find now. The kits I saw on eBay recently include more wiring and fuses/relays. I can't tell if it includes a switch. I did find that part # on Rock Auto of all places, maybe an email to them to verify its contents might be worth the time.
