I bought a Husky truck tool box.

Not the best but it’s the first I’ve owned.

Hopefully it helps me organize things.

Btw how do you deal with the gap between the box and the front Of the bed?

It’s that far out so I can open it fully and not hit the rear window.

Replaced the front Munroe quick struts with Bilsteins.

I installed them out of spite.

I had bought them last year and my regular mechanic had great difficulty trying to install them. He said they were the wrong ones. So I ended up getting a pair of Munroe quick struts installed instead.

I checked with Bilstein and confirmed they were the right ones.

I happened to be at an Active Green and Ross and they confirmed they were the correct struts and they could install them.

So just out of spite I had them replace the Monro struts with the Bilstein ones.

You have to buy a tool box with a thinner lid. I had the same problem with husky, I returned it and bought a cheap kobalt from Lowe’s, got it for 50$, it was a scratch and dent sale but it just had a dent in the front that I popped out with a rubber mallet.

I looked at a low profile box but most of the Tonneau makers online said they did not support low profile boxes.

I replaced the front sway bar bushings and the passenger window regulator.

Yippee I think I got rid of the front clunking noise and now the passenger window goes all the way down.

Last two items to be done are to replace the rad hoses and the rusted transmission lines.

Picked up this 06 2500 Power Wagon last week with only 65k miles. This thing is a beast.

Congrats on the new rig!

Put some spyder tails on the truck with some LEDs. They work well but i have to get under there and re-wire the resistors cuz I guess wires have came loose. All is good except for mounting the drivers’ side cuz the mounting holes were thrown off when the truck got hit

I also got my old set of OEM-style projectors working. This is an old pic but its these

For some reason the most intense light is pointed down and to the left, almost like the bulb is crooked inside the projector or something. If I can’t get that fixed i may buy a new set of better-engineered projectors to retrofit

Topped 150k miles today. Either this thing burns oil or I have a leak somewhere

Started with 400 then 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500. About 3-5 minutes with each grit and longest with the 2500.
I used the same method and mine didn’t come out well at all, mine have those crack looking marks in them, and it seems as if it’s in the middle or on the inside of the lenses, so I have to buy a new set. Great job on yours though bud. They look % better and I’m sure much brighter too huh.

Yea, if the lens has age cracks, you can't sand them out. But even with the cracks, the lens looks better and the lights are brighter.

Hi

Started a 7 day road-trip with my son and a group of friends.

Going to drive through Northern Quebec and turn around when the roads stop. About 2500k from my house.

We’re going to test the truck my son and I put together.

So far 6 hours into it truck doing well but the seats suck.

Good luck, and hope everything works out well for you, it’s sure is beautiful countryside up there, I miss it dearly. Say hi to Gacefield on rt105 Nord for me, if you take that rote. I used to have a cabin up there in lac Blue sea qb on lac Morissette.

Ps. Bring extra petro containers, not many stations that far north, but I’m sure you know this already.

I managed to kill my 2nd battery in 6 months. New fuse box was installed..some broken wires replaced. Thought it was good...a week later...dead.
