Called discount tire today...website says Falken Wildpeake's are on back order, but the store manager promised he could get them in. Went with 35's due to price, and not wanting to leave a 37 in the bed...

Although looks are a big determining factor for most when it comes to tires..............
I've had really great performance from the Terra Grapplers both on and off road. They are fairly quiet with great grip.I’ve had very good luck with the trail grapplers surprisingly. Not great on ice but no tire is truly awesome unless you run studs. I wish they’d slap the trail grappler sidewall on the ridge grappler.
I have the Wildpeaks on my truck too. Great tire.Although looks are a big determining factor for most when it comes to tires, a wiser way to choose tires is determine…truly determine…how you use your tires and what you expect out of them.
Stt pros look cool, as do most aggressive mud tires, but if you drive on winter roads you are gonna be super disappointed. And if you spend a lot of time on paved roads, they will get chewed up and worn down fairly quickly unless you have your air pressures dialed in perfectly and rotate religiously.
That is why I ended up with a set of phenomenal AT tires (falken wilpeak at3w) for the last set of tires i bought. Because i was honest with myself and 90% of my use is on the road, with some towing, and some off roading (which is rarely in the mud anyway). And I live in northern michigan, so a good winter tire was pretty important to me. Trust me, i want the aesthetics of the mt’s, but lets face it, they just dont perform anywhere near as good for probably 75% of most peoples uses.
The Falken Wildpeaks are the best! I have had a few different sets and have about 90K on my 2017 2500. The factory one were terrible then I got some coppers and they were great, great looking tread, good grip, surprisingly quite but lifespan was about half so after getting a credit multiple research hours My Tire guy suggested the Falkens! They are hands down the best they are unbelievably quite for a off-road wintery 3 peak rated tire. I have window vent and hear the wind off of those before I hear tires. They are great in mud, soso in da soupy stuff like above bumper good, but not a mud swamper type tire, but will get you out. Snow they have been awesome and will get tested again Sunday in the 8-10" we will get. I have about 20-25K miles on them and they look like they have 0 miles on them. Hands-down the best and a 60-65K warranty you really can't beat them nor should you.Correct me if im wrong, but the baja boss mt does not have a 3pmsf rating. While there is a small amount of siping on the tread blocks (often not the case with mt’s) they do not bare the 3pmsf symbol. The baja boss at, however, does.
OH great ... I thought I heard that but didn't bother looking into it .... I hate goodyear tires they are horrible ... MT and Cooper especially the MTs are B@D@$$ tires but knowing this now I will stay away from them ...In 2021 Goodyear acquired Cooper Tire along with their Mickey Thompson brand. So the Mickeys are Goodyear tires.
I loved the STT Pros always have and I was about to put those on my Ram but the owner of the shop where I got it lifted said to go with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers, since I don't do any winter driving in the snow or ice he said these were very good tires in the rain which is what I was looking for, so far in the rain they have kicked @$$ ..well that's a bummer. Yeah coopers have been hit and miss for years. for quality I still haven't had a bad toyo or nitro. regardless of traction I guess.
Thats funny…my brother put at3’s (toyo) on his wifes 4runner and nothing but raves from them with those tires. I put a set of them on my wifes ‘22 tahoe and they have been great so far as well.I was thinking about going with Mickeys but I really like toyo/nitto's stuff. I've had great luck with everything. I was surprised though on my wife's 4runner.......we have the at3's on it and on the hard packed stuff they are pretty terrible.
prefer the Pathfinder A/Ts. great tire for all uses....Called discount tire today...website says Falken Wildpeake's are on back order, but the store manager promised he could get them in. Went with 35's due to price, and not wanting to leave a 37 in the bed...
