Hi all, I just recently took ownership of a 2001 ram 2500 sport model from my father. It’s a bit rusty underneath but passes inspection. Leaking wheel/axle seal replacement
Not sure if this is a wheel or axle seal but it’s been leaking and need to replace it. Was wondering if I could get some help/instructions? There’s not a lot on replacing such a thing and the people I’ve asked have told me you need a special tool and all this. I do all my own work on my pickup... -

Do you need to keep front axle in to keep wheel bearing together?
My wheel bearing fell apart the day after I took my front end apart, I had blown the front end and removed the guts including the axles.
