Hi all, I just recently took ownership of a 2001 ram 2500 sport model from my father. It’s a bit rusty underneath but passes inspection. However, the front drivers side coil spring seat (the part that sits on top of the axle) is rusted and has a hole in it. Is there a way to replace this without a new axle? I’ve seen a Dorman replacement for it but it states it’s only for 1994-1997 2500’s, I’m not sure how much is different from those initial years to the 1998-2002 models.
There’s also some moog options that appear to be rubber, but I’m not sure if they’re intended for the top part of the spring or could be used to replace the seat part.
TIA for any help!
