Was replacing front driver side bearing and when i went to remove the cv axle after the 35mm nut holding it in it would not release from the front diff. I am guessing it is a retainer pin that i heard can get locked up and is inside the front diff housing. Does anyone know if this is something i should look into or as long as there are no sounds and everything spins and feels right let it be?
Ended up unbolting the A arms and steering. Wheel bearing was so rusted had to use hydraulic press to remove it from wheel assembly. simple project turned into 4 hours and needing a new ball joint as well.
