I have a 03 2500 4x4 5.7 hemi. I had the engine rebuilt, Texas Speed stage 2 cam, s&b closed dry cai, headers cat delete flow master dumped after cab, deleted the fan clutch. I had a tuner come to my house to put a tune in it. Found out he can't connect directly to the ecu so with his recommendation I bought a diablosport trinity and a reschedule. After 3 hours of fighting i have a truck that may or may die everytime I have to stop. His next recommendations was to get an 05 ecu and a bigger throttle body. I bought an 05 ecu gave them the vin from my 03 to load in the ecu and paid extra to remove any security dodge my have on it i also bought a 90mm BBK throttle body. After swapping the ecu and throttle body the throttle postion is opened 100%. I found the thread about the ecu swap instructions. Before I saw the ecu swap thread I was just going to use my 04 wiring harness straight up as my 05 wiring harness looked identical and the 04 is a parts truck. Looks like that won't work the way I was wanting too. My questions are 1 is the ecu wiring different to the throttle body as well? 2 if I do this harness mod it should let tune the throttle body or do you think I got a DOA throttle body?

Throw that BBK throttle body in the garbage,as they're basically junk, and re-install your original throttle body.

The original throttle body is what is on it and running like trash. The tuner drill a hole in the butterfly just to get it to idle somewhat. I know most ppl dont have trucks laying around like I do. I have spare wiring harnesses for 05 and 04. Would it be easier for me to just mod one of those since it will already have the extra set of o2 sensor wires then just do the tcm part? What's y'all thoughts?

So I found my answer on using the other harness from a 05 in case anyone else needs to know. I sent an email to hotwireauto because they can make the harness for you if you send them the harness they told me to send them the 03 harness instead of the 05 harness because it gets confusing trying to move everything around and you could end up with the same problem or worse. Also they will sell you the pcm and o2 sensors as well. I personally am going to do it myself.
