I have been fighting this since the day I got it. Ordered the truck. The sirius reception is GARBAGE. They have had it in and replaced antenna and other things.

We have a 2019 and a 2020 here at work with the 8.4's and no issues. My 16 with the 8.4 had no issues. The 8.4 isn't the 360L.

If ANYONE found a solution, please let me know. I am not the only one. I am on many forums and this is a problem.

I don't have the 12" screen but I know I've read that there is a radio update that is suppose to fix a majority of the problems....

I had the same problem with Sirius from new. It was always searching and no sound for weeks. I left it on FM and it always worked. I left it on FM for a week straight and about 5 days ago I switched it to Sirius and a miracle happened and it worked. It has worked perfect ever since ( I am worried now that it probably wont work when I go home tonight) No clue what changed, I still get the searching screen for a few seconds at start up but now at least it goes back to the channel I had on.

If there is an update you should get a pop up on your screen to download and install now or later or go to the dealership. I DL and installed mine while I was in Sams.
The latest version is for Sirius is 2.10.
I can't find the version of Uconnect nor do I know if that's your problem. Before the known issue with the radio was a Sirius issue where it would lose the memory settings. 3 days later they come back. I got a letter from Sirius about an update coming at the end of last year. A few months later the message popped up and no problems since.

Thank you Alison and you did send me a PM but the problem is not it is working just fine. I have pictures of the problem but I am guessing unless there is an update or something the dealer is just going to say that its working. Do you know if there is an update. I have 800 miles on my truck and it was built in August.

It is possible that your Uconnect software is not up-to-date. Enter your VIN in the following link: https://www.driveuconnect.com/support/software-update.html to make sure.

FYI...
At the bottom of the 12" screen, press and hold the outer 2 icons/shortcuts for 6-10 secs to get into dealer menu ... Then go to the radio information screen and you can see what you're current 'application version' is since that's what these Panasonic radios go by. (& Compare to what I posted earlier).

My 2019 is on Application Version: 33.3.0

Yeah, the update is for the 12" radio, just check with your dealership.

I brought my truck to the dealership this past Friday Oct 9th (and they still have it) for this 12" radio issue as well as a couple of other issues. They informed that there is no update available for the radio/infotainment center and it sounds like Chrysler is balking at replacing it because it cost them $3000. Well to bad, I paid over $62000 for this truck and the infotainment has only worked about 60% of the time. I had seen on another site where some people were starting to discuss getting a class action lawsuit going since Chrysler doesn't seem to be able to fix the issue and apparently the 2021 vehicles are getting a completely redesigned 12" infotainment system to fix the issues that the 2019-2020 systems are having.

Found this lovely bit of news this morning.

"A class action lawsuit claims that the UConnect infotainment systems in the 2017- 2019 Pacifica AND OTHER VEHICLES can freeze and stop working, posing a range of safety hazards for drivers and others.

According to the FCA class action lawsuit, the company regularly conceals the UConnect defect problem to consumers, sometimes by informing them that their vehicle is working well when they bring it in for a repair. In other instances, the company will allegedly conduct repairs that mask but do not fix the problem.

Additionally, the problem is reportedly not often covered under warranty — the Chrysler infotainment problem class action lawsuit argues that it should be, but instead, customers are often required to pay out-of-pocket for repairs."

I purchased a new 2019 Ram 2500 crew cab 4wd 6.7 CTD this past March and the one major concern was the 12.4" infotainment center and sure enough it starting locking up with less than 3000 miles on it (I actually think it started acting up with less than 1000 miles on it). I did some research online and it appears this is a well know problem, wish I would have researched this before I bought the truck. When it locks up there are no radio or phone audio functions that work and it may stay that way for 2-3 days. It even locked up once with the backup camera on and there was not way to shut it off until it decided to start working again. I have purchased 4 brand new and one slightly used Ram 5.9 and 6.7 trucks over the years, 3 3500 duallys and 2 2500's. This truck has been the only one that is turned into a disappointment.

I brought my truck to the dealership this past Friday Oct 9th (and they still have it) for this 12" radio/infotainment issue as well as a couple of other issues (transmission/drive line and front end re-alignment). They informed me that there is no update available for the radio/infotainment center and it sounds like Chrysler is balking at replacing it because it cost them $3000. Well to bad, I paid over $62000 for this truck and the infotainment has only worked about 60% of the time. I spoke with the service rep on this past Monday afternoon to get an update and the only thing they had looked into was the infotainment issues and had not even looked at the others yet.

Apparently there is a class action lawsuit filed. Below is some info on the case.

Just spoke with the dealership service department and they have still not troubleshoot any of the other issues and no update as to what they are going to do about the 12" infotainment system. Supposedly the technician will look at it tomorrow. Just glad they put me in a loaner.

Alison,

Yes it says that it is up to date.

Thanks Clay

I sent you one and you sent me the info you needed but like I said after a week of leaving it on FM only and then switching it back to sirius it works fine. No clue why but I obviously cant replicate the problem if its working right now and has been for a week. I have pictures but I know what they will so when taking to to the dealer.
