Ok all. This is just my opinion, I'm not a big fan of the crew cabs with the short bed (5'7"), primarily because of the looks and because of the lack of bed space.

But, trying to find a crew can with a 6'4" bed can be a task.

What's the aversion to crews with 6'4" beds and why doesn't Ram make more of them?

You'd increase the footprint of the truck making it more difficult to navigate around obstacles. Me I would never go bigger than qc

I settled for a quad cab, would have preferred the crew cab with ,6.4 in bed. Couldn't find one.

Yup pretty much. I’m happy with my 5’7” bed on my crew cab. I don’t make use of the box enough to justify the inconvenience of the longer bed as I live in an apartment with underground parking. A few inches does make a difference!

Got the 6'4", wish I had an 8" bed. lol Just depends on your needs/preferences I suppose. I have no idea why the 6'4" is harder to find, didn't even know it was. Interesting.

I agree with the looks of the crew cab with the 6'4" bed. Looks proportional. I could only find
mine in the lower trimmed tradesman.

I have crew cab 6'4" bed on my 1500 limited. I drive a lot of crew cab short box 2500s which are the same wheelbase so it feels normal to me and really don't notice much difference from my QC 6'4" box 1500. Give me a crew cab. 8'box though and you really start to feel like a limo driver.

I love my CC 6’4. Agree it looks proportional, a lot of SLT’s Ive noticed are this spec. I gave up leather and some technowizbangs...personally, I drive a HazMat straight truck and/or tractor trailer 700-800mi a week in metropolitan areas and traffic. I just had to train my brain to park and walk in lots instead of grabbing a close spot up front. Better door ding protection anyways....

Just love my Laramie CC 6.4
Wouldn't go shorter, it even makes my Rambox bigger!
Had an outdoorsman QC 6,4 before and not really a problem adapting to the longer wheelbase. Feel so roomier in the CC! Never go back QC

Now that is not something you see often either.......crew cab short box (5'7") 2500's.

What about the average size of the garages in America?

Would a Crew Cab 6'4" bed fit in most garages?

I love my crew cab 8’ bed. But I use the bed. I have a toolbox in it and at times I debate removing it to have my full bed. I love the long feel the way it rides rough. I don’t have issues parking. I always park in the back “did it when I had short bed too”. It don’t fit in my garage. But then neither does a Prius too many tools

My garage is a detached 24x24 and I have no problem putting my cc with 6.4 bed, the wife's Durango, and all the other usual yard junk in there.

When I purchased my 2014 Laramie CC with the 6'4 bed almost two months ago, I asked the dealer if there had been a lot of interest in the truck. He said there was some, but seemed like most people turned it down because of the 6'4 bed. I actually like the longer bed, and to me, it definitely looks more proportional to the rest of the truck. The 6'4 bed CC's definitely appear harder to find around my area. Usually it's either CC's with the 5'7 bed or QC's that I've seen.

Because most 1500 crews are mall crawlers. The demand for 6’4s are in the regular and extended . That’s why I jumped on my crew 6’4 when I did . They seem to be unicorns.

I love my crew cab 6’4” bed 1500 sport. Loaded with every option. I got lucky when I found this one at a Honda dealership.

I would have loved the 6'4... Couldn't find one when I got mine so I got the 5'7... Had to have the CC when my 10y/o daughter is 4'10 already....

I could have fit a crew cab with 6'4" bed into my garage... BARELY. I would have to creep in until it touched the wall before I could close the door. Not worth the hassle or worry. I chose the quad cab despite really wanting that floor storage available in the crews.
