So I guess I need to go down to Gratton Coulee tractor parts to get me a manifold. :anitoof:
There's several tractor wreckers in SK that aren't all that far from you if you don't find what you need in Irma

Now I need to finish my dump trailer. Will make it easier to disassemble and make dump / scrap metal runs as I go.

That deck is perfect, it's 8ft wide. And 20ft long. Will have to chop it down a tad bit to fit the F550

Unfortunately, I will not be running Semi wheels . I was advised by 2 trucker friends to skip that idea all together. :( . Specially because im building this truck to haul the Jeep / RV to Alaska in 2y for my camping trip, and the rotating mass on 42" semi wheels and tires is pretty massive with those 14ply tires. And if I have some sort of issues up there. the last thing they said I should have is some custom/tire wheel set-up.

Might have to regear my diffs, but thats easy **** ! Im opening them up anyways to add Eaton Lockers, and would do 3.73s or 3.54 while in there. :cool:

So the biggest tires I can shove on those rims are 245/70R19.5 ( 33's :supergay:) and lucky for me Venom makes a At-Co All Season.

When I looked at these when I was building the 53 they were out of my price range. But for this build Im going all in.

This gauge is pretty sweet. and I got plenty of dash space to the left an right of this cluster for the EGT / Boost / Temp / Fuel / Oil pressure /

The factory Cluster housing is stand alone. So ill just cut it in half and stretch it to make all this stuff fit. :cool:

I owned two DT466-B engines with 5/2 speeds, in mid 80's International 1900 series trucks. They ran all day, 5 days a week, with half the hours at idle pumping fuel off. One had close to 400K miles, had been upside down idling after sliding in a ditch on ice. New rod and main bearings, a new (used) cab, and back on the road.

You have to try really hard to mess those engines up.

I took it out for its first drive today. Put on my plate for the 61... lol... Pretty impressed how well it moves a 5 Ton, Will be a blast in my 1ton :headbang: and the Bosh pump still has the wires on it. so it hasn't even been turned up yet. Good thing I will fix that issue. lol..

The 6 speed Eaton needs a rebuild. Weird clucking in 2nd. Was going to get the kit anyways to freshen her up. hopefully its just the synchros. Im not really worried as every part is available from Eaton. And they are dirt simple. Im actually wanting to turn 6th into a Overdrive from the FS6406 after joining the Eaton FB group. All you need to do is call up Eaton and tell them that you want to do it and they send you a kit... lol... Brings down 6th to 0.78

Yeah the spare and dually inners will be the original ford steelies sandblasted and painted black. I got a budget to stick to. and with the big ass flat deck its not like you will see my inners anyway. And I have 7 tires to buy :( . The new S364 Turbo is importanter ;) Heck I wanted to buy Alcoa's and had to settle for these ATX

And now my truckers buddies are talking me into a 13 speed :cheers: instead of wasting money rebuilding a 6 speed as they say... lol... Also helps they got them kicking around everywhere... ;)

I think at this point im building a truck they cant wait to drive around. But on the plus side , My buddy who gave me the F550 just told me today he bought the same Fab-Cut 8x10 plasma table that I used to work on while in the military and needs my help to set it up! Ill have full access to a plasma table for free pretty much :oops:. they buy steel 10k at the time so my little order will get thrown in and will save about 35% on materials that way.

I also just listed the 8x19 flat deck on marketplace, Because now I can build one from scratch with said plasma table. My fabrication skills just leveled up 110% :cool:

Nick Scevieor at BlackSheep Industries/True North in Edmonton is one of the best turbo guys kicking around these days,he'd be a good guy to talk to about turbo selection if you haven't hunted him up.

They dont offer anything for the DT360, but ill reach out and see what they say. Might as well try to support local guys.

the 53 is being picked up tommorow, So ill be dropping 10K in parts on Monday :cool:
