1998 Magnum v10 4x4 1 ton

Man the more I look into this beast the more I like it, the suspension and running gear is so freekin beefy its ridiculous. It has a 4inch lift and from what I can tell it has a stock kinda four link suspension on the front. I'll try to post pics soon and maybe some of you can tell me what is stock on it and what's not. But it is super clean and very well kept, very happy with this beast even with the mpg, I live 1.3 miles from work so it is my commuter as well

Yeah I've seen V8s and V10s in 3500s. In his intro post he said he has a 2500 though.

But yeah, they put the 360 into everything. A friend of mine has a 97 dually that has a blown 360 in it.....literally...blown as in there's a hole in the number 6 piston.

I would hate to have my 360 in a 3500 that is about 2 times as heavy as the 1500 it is in right now..

Would need some mega high gears to move a 3500

It towed trailers all the time. lol There's no telling how many times it was rebuilt before it finally died when my friend picked it up...250k mi. lol
Special order truck every option except sunroof.

Hello all, just signed up and just this past weekend I bought a new to me 1998 Dodge 2500 Laramie Magnum V10 1 ton Crew Cab 4x4, It has 180k on it but only one owner and is in really good shape. So far no issues but I figure I would join the forum so when something does pop up I'll have access to the knowledge.

The whole ext cab name thing is something that still confuses the crap out of me.. Lol

Club Cab -> No rear doors
Quad Cab -> Rear half/not full doors
Crew Cab -> 4 Full doors

Simple.

Sorry haven't got the pics up yet, I guess it is a quad cab seeings it has no rear doors but yes it is a 2500 V10 4wd Laramie, Now maybe I am mistaken on the 1 ton thing but I'm not new to trucks & it has 8 lug nuts per wheel, double stacked rear leaf springs, tow pkg and the front coil over springs are bigger around than my thumb. It could be a 3/4 ton maybe? but drives and feels like other 1 tons I have drove, the suspension just has no give.

If it's a dually it's a 1 ton. Single rear wheel is 3/4 ton.


Quad Cab has half doors. Club Cab does not have half doors.
