I like the combo of the diesel and hydraulic winch but other than that it’s ugly as sin in my opinion.
Definitely has that what what we thought was retro look of the late 90’s.
Reminds of that abortion Chevy actually produced around the same time period. The SSR pickup or whatever it was called.

Diesel with mechanical FI and PTO which... EMP proof. Apocalypse rig. Wonder how much you could make as a post-apoc uber driver in that? I dig it.

My thoughts exactly.

Almost as if an HHR and an SSR had a 3 way with a Prowler and had this.

You guys do realize this is from 1999. It is the concept truck for the 3rd Gen and what would become the 2006 Powerwagon.

There only was a 4 spd automatic then.

I have always wondered though why theybused a CAT and not the Cummins

Edit. The only automatic available was a 4spd.

"There only was a 4 spd automatic then."

The 6 spd in 1999 Dodge trucks exists and today it's a MATD.

I still own my 99 NV 4500 5 and. Wish i had the available 6 speed...but doesn't change the fact in 1999 the only available automatic was a 4sp

You can see the 5 spd there...but they didn't use it.

It is funny though as in the 90s the manual transmission got you more power in the Cummins and V10...and then in the 4th Gen the manual got the detuned version.

Amazing what people giving up the 3rd pedal has done for automatic tranamissions

Notice the word, "only".
Ok. The post I replied to said automatic. And the concept has an automatic. And I said there was only a 4spd automatic.

Guess I need to remember to be very specific.

In 1999 the only automatic available was a 4spd in Dodge Ram trucks. Although there was the 5spd manual and a 6spd manual available.

But to be more thorough the concept ia based on a 1500 truck so only the 4spd automatic and a 5spd manual waa available to it. A different one than the 5spd in the 2500/3500.

Will be more thorough in the future.

And 35 x 12 tires.
