How accurate is the average MPG gauge?
I was kinda surprised to get this high with my 22s.
Was only going 70-71 mph.
It got up too 20.7 before I exited for lunch.
Impressive for such a big vehicle....
My EVIC is off by . 5-1.5 mpg compared to my handcalculate mpg with each full tank fill up. I have seen that Mobil gas has yielded more consistant numbers compared to other gas brands.
Drop it down to between 61-63 mph and you should get close to 22 on the readout.
Not bad for a 2009 with an inefficient transmission. 71-73 mph seems to be the sweet spot for these engines and aerodynamics to hit in the 20's.
As long as the weather is good, no significant headwind and a light touch on the pedal the Hemi can get you some great mpg's on the highway.

My 2013 CC 4X4 3.21 8 speed with stock 20“ wheels gets about 11-12 mpg in the winter and 13-14 mpg in the summer
(with 89 Hemifever tune). That is with mostly city driving with an average speed of 19-24 mph. My truck tends to have lower mpg than most because of the amount of stop and go driving I do.
Enjoy those numbers[emoji106]
It should improve some but 4x4 is rated at 21mpg fyi. And that is probably at 65mph. They'll run you over in TX at that speed.I have a brand new 15 quad cab. 4x4 3.21 gears and got 19 average on 300 mile trip driving 78 mph. To me that's good compared to my old 2008 but I would like to see the advertised 22 mpg highway... I only have 1800 miles so maybe after the first oil change it will get better..?
