Ladies and gentlemen......I may or may not be breaking protocol here, so allow me to apologize in advance if I am
I would just like to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge my truck effortlessly and gracefully flipping 200,000 miles today

It's taken me to 49 states, a few countries, over two dozen cross country trips, has never let me down and even seems to enjoy my questionable penchant for turning down roads that I probably shouldn't have.

I ask a lot of my truck and I rarely give it the attention it deserves.......(kind of like most of my relationships )
Just kidding.....just kidding

In all seriousness though, thank you to all the members here. I'm not as active as I'd like to be on here but all the information you all share and provide is incredibly valuable to me. Thank you

Great testimonial! Glad to hear it. Not even an electric steering problem??

What trim level is your truck? 2500? What trans? Where was it built?

Well ....here's hoping you get another 100k out of it, and more back roads to explore! :favorites13:

I see you are new here, but we have a rule every truck 200,000 we have a ram forum party at your house. So what is the address for this Saturday party? Be prepared, I mean like many many kegs ok? no bud light neither, for safety reasons...

Based on the shark fin placement it was made in Mexico

Where is it located? I can't see it in that photo; how can you?

Question: Are Rams made in Mexico more trouble free than those made in the USA?

I’m not 100% sure, correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the HDs are assembled in Mexico by way of the Saltillo plant.

Right behind the windshield on driver side.

I know some 1500's are made there too, mine was. The US made trucks have the sharkfin on the driver side just above the back window.

Congrats on 200k, here's to another 200k!!!

I am creeping up on you, my Ram is a 2015 1500 SLT QC 5.7L 2WD 3.21 8SPD, built at the Warren plant. Just shy of 174k miles.

No major problems either. Replaced front hubs, h/l switch, exhaust manifold bolts and gaskets. Other than that, just shoes and brakes, battery, fluids and such. One of the best vehicles I've ever had.

I have a 2014 Ram Tradesman with 195,000 miles on it. I’ve replaced the radiator, water pump x 2 and just had the rear end rebuilt due to the pinion bearings going out and that messed up the gears.
Hopefully it lasts quite a while longer because it’s paid for and I don’t want a truck note.

Let me start out by apologizing profusely for my outrageously delayed response to those of you who responded to my initial post. I appreciate the congrats and camaraderie from all of you! Maybe some of you are still around, if not, then this will just be some basic information that might be relevant to others.
I never experienced the steering problem except on one afternoon a couple of years ago the steering did something for a minute, I don't recall exactly what it did but it raised my eyebrows for a second.
My truck was built in Mexico at the Saltillo plant, as mentioned by one of you. It's a 2015 2500 5.7 crew cab, 8 foot bed, SLT Big Horn. Transmission is the 6 speed 66RFE.
I've always had pretty good luck with cars, for the most part, so I don't know if I would attribute the good fortune that I've had with this truck to where it was built. But who knows, I suppose it's possible. That would be an interesting statistic.......for someone else to figure out!
As corny as it sounds, every car that I've owned I just treated them like how I would be treated if I were a car. I'm easy on accelerating and braking, I change the oil when my dashboard tells me to, in short, I do not drive it like I stole it! (Except for sometimes )
Ok now, aside from all that crap, can we still have the 200,000 mile party at my house?!?!
