I recently purchased a 2001 Ram 1500 4X4 that had Projector Headlights which were fully functional with low and high beams but the low beams were so focused that I couldn't see good, so I purchased aftermarket headlights that only have 1 bulb each (9400, low and high beam in 1 bulb). I replaced the projectors with the aftermarket headlights and I hooked the blue connector to the back of the headlights. Now I only have high beams and parking lights, blinkers. When I take the blue connectors off and put the black connectors on I have a constant high beam indicator and lights stay on no matter which I choose low or high beam). If anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it I would be very appreciative of that info. :)

Sorry to hear that you’re having such troubles with your headlights my 2000 Dodge ram 1500 sport quad cab four-door 5.9’s been sitting in my backyard trying to get my headlights to work for over a month all summer is gone so here’s what I do know and found out and it’s the cheapest way of fixing it you gonna have to go back to factory headlights to save yourself about $180 in a relay set up to make that stuff work properly when your truck so sorry I just found this out this morning good luck man

I believe I found out what the issue is with my truck. It has the sport package which originally had 4 bulbs total (separate high and low beams on each side) and that's what I have to put in. I bought single bulb aftermarket lights not knowing that my truck was the sport package. There are 2 black connectors (high beam and 2 blue connectors (low beams) so that must mean I need 4 bulbs total. I hope you get your issues straightened out. :)
