2006 1500 MDS keeps messing up getting codes, misifiring

I just bought this truck and it was already misfiring on cylinder 6. I got a new MDS solenoid and it fixed it for a few days.
Now im getting code P3400 and P0430

This is my question, I have the Superchips tuner that people say can disable the MDS. If I turn the MDS off in the tuner will it stop the truck from misfiring and remove the codes from the computer turning the light off? Or does the MDS have to be in perfect working order before its disabled?

A major component when Misfires (P0300's) is cam sensor. Its under the alternator on pass side. one 10mm bolt, then pull straight out & disconnect. Always disconnect Neg Bat cable first.

My guess is that at the very least oil is not making it to the intake lifter due to a blocked passage based on the P3400, P0340, P0300 and the P0306 you are getting. Consider it a chain of events, P0300 then P0306, next P0430, and finally P3400.

Disabling the MDS won't necessarily stop any misfire codes if there is something else causing the code and the codes you provided are for the MDS and Catalytic converter. I'm assuming you are still having a misfire on cylinder #6, so based on this and the new codes you provided, I am also going to assume that you have an MDS solenoid stuck in the on position OR a blocked oil passage, causing cylinder #6 to be partially "disabled". IF you disable the MDS system, I would suggest removing the solenoids and installing bungs since the MDS redirects oil flow from the lifters causing them to collapse. That all being said, the P0430 is likely due to the raw fuel from cyl #6 passing through the cat and not being completely burned up.

EDIT - Pull one or both valve covers starting with the passenger side and see how much sludge buildup you have. If regular oil changes were performed, the heads should have a golden color. If not, I typically don't recommend doing an engine flush, but I would suggest doing that a couple of times with a couple of cheap oil changes followed by a normal oil change.

There was never a code for P0340 or P3400 before I changed the MDS solenoid. The code was for Misfire in cylinder #6, cant remember the code exactly. But I changed the MDS solenoid and it fixed it for a few days. When this engine light came on last night I immediately felt the engine chug. When I changed the solenoid the wire harness didnt look very good and was kind of brittle from sitting in oil. The solenoid was leaking out and it just sat in it. Im wondering if the harness is bad from sitting in oil since there is no specific cylinder misfire code now.

Another question, If I disable the MDS with the tuner and put those plugs in is that all I need? I could never find a clear explanation of how to bypass this system and when I look it up online I see kits that come with lifters and cams and other stuff....

Well... I disabled the MDS with a superchips tuner today. As soon as I was done and was ready to test drive it, I hit the brake to put it in drive and it blew a brake line..... WTF... Now I cant test it out till tomorrow.
