I just bought a 2007 Ram single cab, short bed, v-6, 6 speed manual for my son, the problem is every time I push the brake or turn on the right signal I get a chime, so I looked and changed the right brake light bulb and the 3rd brake light bulb, now all brake lights work, but I still get the chime every time I push the brake or turn on the right signal, also the right signal had and still has a rapid flash. Would the incorrect # light bulb cause this problem even though all 3 brake lights come on? the right brake light bulb socket was a little loose to where the old bulb contact wire had gotten hot from resistance and deformed the plastic under the bulb contact. I squeezed the socket contacts together to tighten it up so a new bulb would stay on when the brake is pushed.

Are you getting any dash lights coming on when you hear the chime? For the right signal, are both the front and rear bulbs non-LED and working? I've seen LED bulbs cause a "fast flash" if they are put in without resistors being installed.
