Hey all I noticed a vibration on my way to work this morning but couldn't exactly get a feel for what it was. It almost sounds like a hub bearing but its fluctuating. The last bearing I had that went made just a steady noise roar but this is fluctuating like hmmmm hmmmm hmmmm. That's the best way I can describe it lol any thoughts on what it could be?

Does it change its pattern when turning? Is its hum pattern proportional to the speed you are going? Do you feel it at all or just hear it? If you feel it, is it in your steering wheel, pedals, seats?

I didn't pay much attention since it started about a mile from work. I'm going to investigate further this evening when I leave. Just by asking coworkers one said hub bearing, one said u joints, and another said failing ring gear

Just on a hunch I pulled the rear diff cover off and the oil was real glittery with what do ya know two big chunks of metal laying in the bottom, they appear to be some type of w shaped clip. I can see something that resembled the fragments in the spider gear carrier but can't see where they came from, not a differential expert so can anyone chime in as to what's going on?

Is there any possibility the pinion nut is trying to back off again? It happened once before when the truck was my dad's and was covered under the recall funny thing is it's an open 3.92 rearend, I thought the trx came standard with limited slip but that's beside the point, what really bothers me is that when I run my trucks vin number in the mopar recall website it states it hasn't been done
