Hey y’all, I’m new to the forum but am on my second ram 1500. I had a 2013 that was totaled when someone ran a red and tboned me coming back up to Idaho from the 2021 fire season. My new truck is a 2010 ram 1500 trx4 that I’ve done some work too to make it better set up for what I do. Figured I’d throw some pics in here and get opinions as well as future mod suggestions! Also if anyone has any questions on what I’ve done so far I’ll happily answer!

Welcome to the Forum. One of my favorite colors :waytogo:
Thanks man! Can’t help but see SoCal, what part? I grew up in San Diego before I moved up here. Also Im still kind of wanting to wrap it in forest service green lol.

Looks great, except the rims, I had those same exact rims, they are no mans land rims, not chrome not blacked out, just that ugly whatever it is. I tried painting mine and skinning them with chrome caps, and have determined even the shape is off, they are just an ugly shape and fugly metal. Someone would buy them off you on craigslist who has a work truck with even worse rims.

I am a penny pincher, grew up that way. So I lived with those rims til the factory skins wore off, many years, and when I was looking for what to replace it with I ended up with rebel knock offs. They are factory offset, so one less thing to worry about, black so you are good there, but also other choices if you wish, and best part they were cheap, less then 600 bucks, now thanks to what is going on I'm sure in the 800 range, but still a super bargain for what you get. I went to 18's as well, it is a better look with more sidewall, plus you can mess with pressure if you are on trail. If you are on trail a lot, you can get load e tires, they will take just about any pressure you want to take out, tough ride though, I dont recommend e except people who need them.

Hey thanks for the advice. I’m actually looking into getting some method off roads or fuel rims for the truck. I had method race wheels on my previous ram just before it was totaled. I’m keeping these for now because they are putting up with the abuse for now. As for the tires I already am running E rated bfg ko2’s that are oversized.

Yeah that is what I am running as well, great tire. And those methods are killer as well, one of my favorite for sure, I just opted for the savings and to not run the offset gauntlet. Here you run tires outside the fender with no flare, your gonna get a ticket. And no they dont have anything better to do, after all arresting people for true crime cost the locality money, but ticketing makes money, go figure.

They really don’t ticket for that stuff here in the northern half of idaho. I do currently have the stock flares the trx4’s came with so a -12 offset will still be covered anyways. As for why I’m looking at methods, well I’m going down to San Diego to visit my folks this Christmas and figured I’d stop at methods hq storefront since they are near San Diego.

I love me some pan handle, my favorite place in america, that and upper montana. Sadly, the wife likes nor cal, so she wins. It's not so hard to like it here once you get past the politics.

Yeah I moved up here for uni and firefighting from San Diego. It’s a helluva lot better. My nearest neighbor is ten minutes away and it’s heaven. I do love me some fort Missoula though too. Been there for collegiate timber sports a few times.
