2011 Paint Chipping off already???

throwing it out there for a feeler seeing if anyone has had issues with there paint on these new 4 gen trucks.

Was cleaning my 2011 ram sport and where the front fender meets the front bumper cover, at the corner of where the fender rolls into the wheel well, a piece of the paint chipped off right to bare metal. I'm gonna take it into the local dealership to see what they can do or say, probably will end up just telling me to get touch up paint

I have a rock chip, with 2300 miles...so feel your pain...unless you want to do front with clear laminate

Mine was purchased brand new with a chip on the tailgate....deal promised me to fix it and keeps "Forgetting" to call me....cant really bother with it till have my truck bak anyway though but yeah...

I had to have my roof repainted on my 2011. Clear chipped and there was bubbles. They told me it was the primer that wasn't right caused my issues

I hand washed mine yesterday, and I noticed that the paint seemed "rough" in a bunch of places. On the bumper, which was repainted, the rag glides accross, but on the hood and fenders, doors and bed, it feels "sticky". Any ideas? Just crappy paint? I am also starting to see tiger striping or something like it on my hood. Normal?

My '07 has a 'small ding' on the front. Hard to notice. what sold me on the truck besides being a Mopar fan, was the fit and finish. My neighbors '10 F150 looks like all the welds are visible on the bed and the whole package smacks of bad quality.

11 1500 silver, had 8" splotches in my paint, drivers door, hood and quarter panel. They are attempting to fix it butt keep mucking up the repairs, going next week for the 4th trip and 16th day, all for what should have been a 4 day job. IDIOTS

While at body shop I seen a 12 charger, silver, with runs and bubbles in the paint, has to be completley repainted. I want to know how this crap is making it past quality controls?

Also a 12 avalanche with tiger striping, also a 12 black limited edition camaro with the same problems.

A lot of guys are complaining about bad paint on the new Fords, including runs and even bare spots in the metal that didn't get painted at all, mostly on the firewall. One guy put up pictures of the door sills on a new Flex and you could see runs in the paint that looked like a paint drip had ran 5" along the sills.

Someone said the EPA mandated the use of water based paint delivery and that the paint is now thinner and more difficult to apply evenly, so all manufacturers would start to see the problem.

I'm picking up my '12 Ram Express tomorrow. Has anyone done the 3M or similar clear protective film? As vertical as that body colored grill is, it sure looks like it will pick up some rock chips quick if its not protected.
