I agree you could probably do it cheaper putting it together yourself but it wouldn't have a Dodge warranty. The Carli suspension certainly is alot better than factory, though the KORE stuff on the article truck is comparable.

I think the factory under bumper winch and control is pretty sweet looking. I'd certainly think about retrofitting if the cost and work to do it were reasonable.

You can get the parts from the MOPAR catalog, but as you related it's crazy expensive and the mods you'd have to do to the intercooler mount would be a PITA for it to be reliable. Having looked at it from all over my truck (2009 Cummins) I don't think it's un-doable from a packaging perspective.

When I looked last spring ALL the parts including the winch itself were available online from MOPAR parts for the folks who has the skrilla and time to retrofit their (i assume) gas powered trucks. I don't recall ever reading any warning that those parts wouldn't or couldn't be installed on the diesel powered trucks.

You're totally right...would be really neat to do. I figured I'd revisit that particular project when I'm rich or win the lotto!
Cheers,
Ch

Minus the manual transfer case, I think the built trucks would be better performing
I disagree, and to add that manual t case is easily another $1,200! at the lowest. But I have a 2011 power wagon and defiantly use it to its potential. A diesel is made mainly for towing and torque. Yes its good offroad but VERY heavy. Next I dont think a "Homemade" power wagon off a 2500 cummins would be better than a stock p wagon. Im not saying its better but they would be equal. My wagon leveled with 35s blows people out the park. 5.9s are a joke. Either way I think for what the power wagon is made for its perfect without a diesel. And you get a warranty on everything v.s. a built truck. My truck has gone further than some jeeps that have $10,000 in mods. I love this truck and it has yet to let me down. It has the power when I need it and works great. Not to mention you get to drive a truck that when ppl see it they go " What the hell was that"

I ment performance suspension wise, carli>>>>stock power wagon suspension
I do agree I don't believe diesels belong in the woods. I've had to pull friends of mine out to many times.
I love rams, especially cummins but my woods vehicle will be a bronco or a jeep

Nice truck man! Looks slick....however......

I know it's a little old, but I would have to disagree with the 5.9 being a joke lol. Not necessarily your ideal off-road engine, but I wouldn't dare use the Cummins 5.9 and joke in the same sentence, unless referring to how bad you killed a power-joke lol. And it's not because I have one, it's just that the 5.9 is a pretty respected engine buddy. There's a reason why people drop em in PW's lol
