See hundreds of threads regarding getting these turned on, I want mine off.

I have high beam reduced power for my DRLs. Truck was originally a Canadian truck. I don't like them and asked the dealer to deactivate them but was told the option is locked and they can't do anything with it. Is this bulldookie? Am I really stuck with these things? Or is there a way? I mean it's not something dire where I absolutely must have them disabled but I can't imagine it would be a feature that is impossible to turn off......

Sorry if I reposted something that's been asked a million times but there's thousands of posts in numerous threads that reference getting them active and not disabled.

AlphaOBD can turn them off. It's just the reverse of the settings for turning them on.

Where are you at?

Did some more thread digging around here. Appears that my truck needs the LMK code for DRL as it is a 10-12 with quads. Can they delete this code? Or is it permanently attached to the truck?

One click on the emergency brake should shut them off without creating drag on the brakes.

Since it's a Canadian market truck I don't believe they (a dealer) are allowed to turn them off (remove the code).

Ok, well, that scraps the idea of telling you to drop by and I'd turn them off for you with Alpha, I'm in NY. :)

Might have to look into the regional section and find a local. Thanks for the offer bud!
