I had a tuner ,Cai, and exhaust when my motor collapsed a lifter and took out the cam and I even set the tuner back to stock and still had to go to 3 dealers before one would warranty it, ended up being a $4,200 repair and warranty covered it. Be persistent (pain in the a$$) and they will eventually cooperate.

I don't see our OP winning this debate. As much as I hate most dealerships, what I see in this thread and what I've seen in your build thread, you're not going to win this fight.

Sucks for the warranty loss, but HEY! Upgrade time.

Seriously, you broke your truck and expect it to be fixed? Thanks for jacking up the rates for the rest of us...

I've been on this forum for some time now for the great information that these great men have to give us. I've not felt it necessary to post however now is a good time. I used to work at the dealership. They have to have concrete evidence of tampering, high performance bolt ons and or internal work, or neglect to even get on the phone and call for the factory rep to come in. Its obvious that's what they found, and its obviousness they have evidence of this. My dealership even took videos, and pics. This dealership probably did the same, however don't need to disclose that to you. You'd better be carefully about what you do, and say next!
I actually started to feel bad for this guy. Now I'm upset at the fact that this guy thinks were all stupid enough to believe the bull. We've found cold hard evidence from your pics, and posts. The dealer has found cold hard evidence on your truck. You may want to call it a day. Oh and I'm speaking for myself here, but if I were you, after a lie like that to all of these men, I probably wouldn't show my face on this forum again. I'm insulted. :mfr_closed1:

I don't want to lose my "warranty"

Priceless quote from his tuning thread....c'mon man, you were going for top drag times.

Yup.. Your right.
Then life happened. Got a new job that required me to use my own truck so nearly stock it stayed

Just because I've been collecting parts on the shelf doesn't mean my warranty should be denied.

Yes, but if you broke any bolts loose, and they noticed that can't help…

Either way, I hope things work out for you.

I am definitely interested to hear the end result. They must have found out you tuned it maybe?

Yea. I had a 2011 with a lot of nitrous and a blower. (not at the same time)

I now have a 2012 Ram that currently only has exhaust and drop

They had to find something suspect to deny warrantee coverage on a tranny. They know the trannies are weak, so I'm sure blowing one isn't a surprise by itself.

Only you know what that might be.

Sort of off topic but do you really feel the 5 or 6 speed is weak I mean I have never had a problem and really don't hear of many since back in the 2nd gen days. If it is indeed a different truck then I would say you fight to get it warranted. I am not sure why they would not warranty though if it is legit.
