I had a '99 2500 with 4:10 LSD that chattered. Changed under warranty once and worked fine for about 15,000. Then on a trip out to CA it started doing it again. Luckily the friend I was visiting knew service writer at Dodge dealer and they took the truck right in. They told me use two of the friction additives. Solved the problem. Never an issue again. Got rid of the truck with 110,000.

I have a 2016 2500. Changed the gearing to 4.88 and got the same when turning after warming up. Especially while towing. I added a tube of friction modifier and it went away.

I was told by an Amsoil dealer that their diff oil has the the limited slip additive, but if you have chatter, add the Mopar limited additive, just an once at a time. I recently changed my rear gear oil with Red Line, and no chatter so far after about driving 2,000 miles. Red Line was just easier for me to get at the time, and from reading, they both work well. I had used Amsoil gear lube in previous trucks with limited slip, and never had any issues.
