You think it rides great until you try a fresh set :). Shocks should be replaced every 50k miles sure there are people than doubles or quadruple that. It depends on what you’re doing with the vehicle, are you running the twisties with any sense of performance at all? Are you running a gravel road for work loaded with tools and equipment? Maybe trying to go fast in the washes and hoops? Or simply driving Big Betty on the fwy and have not realized she’s already waving up and down like a big boat :)
Check your local parts store they should have replacements assembled from Gabriel, Monroe etc etc.

I agree shocks are really only good for 50 or 60,000 miles and I have had ones bite the dust long before that. OEM are usually expensive and nothing special. The sky is limit with how much money you want to spend. Bilstein and Fox are great shocks but they are expensive, I like the Monroe Reflex shocks, they are firmer than the other Monroe products as the Reflex are designed for trucks and suvs. I have used them on a couple of suvs, my last truck and current Jeep Wrangler. I have been very happy with them and the price. There is no need to replace springs unless they are broken or collapsed but they can be a PITA to remove from the strut so buying a complete front strut assembly may be easier for you.

Thread may be dead but since these posts tend to linger into the future, it might be helpful to note that there are two shock designs that are in common use...twin-tube and monotube. Most all the shock manfacturers make both kinds. As a general rule the twin-tube is softer, a bit cheaper, and works better on the family car than on the Charger and Ram. The monotube is firmer, keeps its firmness longer, and costs a bit more. There's all sorts of overlap, so the ultimate test is the butt-test. Off-roaders are presented with a conundrum...you hit a rock and bend a monotube shock tube and it's ruined, whereas the twin-tube takes a lickin and keeps on going, as long as the inside tube is ok. FWIW
