Hey!

I've got a 2014 Ram 2500 Tradesman with a bad 6.4L engine.

Oil is full of 'forbidden glitter'. Opening the oil filter with a very clean pair of tin snips and examining the inside of the filter housing and the filter media revealed not just sparkles, but some fairly large 'chunks' the size of a pin head. Engine had been running rough with what i am almost certain is a bad lifter(s) and cam. Given the amount of sparkles I'm seeing in the oil, I strongly suspect the engine is completely shot.

I'm currently looking at replacing the longblock, and the Mopar 68411230AA longblock is very competitively priced. I'm in western Canada and dont have the options available to me in the lower 48 states for longblocks.

My question is for anyone who has done a R&R with the Mopar 68411230AA longblock: what else will I need to do the R&R?

My list so far is:
1) Oil Pump
2) Oil filter housing/oil cooler (?) - I suspect one or both of these cant be easily cleaned of 'forbidden glitter' so correct me if I'm wrong
3) gaskets: Oil pan, valve covers, egr, intake, oil filter housing, water pump, etc

What else am I missing in terms of *needs*? Clearly if I go ahead with the R&R of this engine I'll be inspecting and replacing any marginal parts as they come off the old engine, eg: water pump, etc.
