2014 Ram 1500 4x4 noise

New to the forum. I have a question for you guys. My wife noticed a whinning noise when she drives her truck in 4wd auto. This usually happens when coming out of a turn, under power. The noise complety goes away in 4wd lock and 2wd. I can only describe the noise as a whirling sound, but definitely noticable. I'm gonna have someone look at it anyway, but, does this sound normal to anyone? I will say that she has had this truck for about 6 years and propable engaged the system a handful of times. Sorry for the neeewb question.

Not normal sounds like your not getting full engagement. I may be wrong though

Welcome to the forum brother!
I know you can get a clicking noise when turning in 4WD, like full lock. Not sure about the whirling noise though. I know we have a lot of knowledge on here and I’m sure someone will chime in with an answer at some point. Good luck and sorry I couldn’t help.
