I've been lack luster on the boards for like a week while I nerd out on my new rifle and you got all the goodies coming!

Awseome, what kind of rifle do you have now ?
Yeah decided to change the look one more time and go more overalandish with the setup :)

High speed overlandish!!! I'm stoked to see the mods. All I'm doing is putting a million miles on this poor truck.

I picked up a Springfield Armory M1A Socom 16. Palmetto State had it up for super cheap so I jumped on it and am working on stocking up on .308 ammo which is incredibly not cheap.

No it has the synthetic stock in a highlands camo, which is likely why it was on sale. It's a weird pattern.

Gonna see how the Quality Control on this one is, if it's lacking in the fitment department it's gonna get dropped into the old school looking walnut stock like the classic M1 Garand/M14. It's been a long while since I had a rifle to play with and accurize, so since the truck is about as far as I can reasonably take it without feeling guilty, it was time for a new toy.

Also got the new Chassis unlimited bumper. Didn't expect to have it so quick, of course this weekend had to be in triple digits heat wise. mfacker :), still boxed up as i'm waiting for the Winch to show up.

What was specs on those shocks? Close to stock length collapsed correct?

As always I'm green with envy! I bet that thing is gonna ride awesome.

Their specs fully compressed should be 18. I'll have some breakfast now and I'll start tackling them down after that. It'll be 106F outside by 11am so I want to start early and finish early. I have some brackets for my brake lines I bought from Lowe's that hopefully will allow me to run these puppies without extending the brake lines.

My god I'm so glad that weather is over for us. You've got 5 hrs before then, so rock and roll!

Nice, you're literally squeezing as much as you can out of that rear setup.

At regular droop you should be ok, but under side to side articulation is where I would check for sure.

Got this chit done. Day was freaking brutal 106F by 9:00am, went up 6 degrees past 10:30am and remained hovering between 112-114F... Lol the stuff we do for our trucks.
Didn't have to do much with my brake lines. Rear driver side has plenty of slack, i could prob go 29.5" extended. For the passenger side, i just extended my bracket about 1" or so, and that gave me all the slack i needed to clear 29.5" if needed. Shocks are 28.75" extended so there is plenty of slack on boths sides.

Passenger side, this was the mockup i did without the shock to see how much lower i could go before i ran out of brake line.i ended with the longer bracket only

Shock on fully extended

Keep in mind this is with everything connected back there, sway bars, trackbar, control arms etc etc. Gotta love the Clayton arms. the stock setup was binding with 27" or less so i had to disconnect the TB and sway bar links to be able to extend the rear this much. Now she can flex the full 29" literally without a damn sweat. Coils are fully seated they don't rotate or anything, the whole suspension just droop without any interference.

Also dialed the shaft guards with the shocks fully extended.

Also took the opportunity to fix the clack clack on the coils. This is why the suckers were making noise. Notice the "were" :)
This are literally the death coils so as i drive over chit like speed bumps or small potholes and the like, they go clack clack

Remember my ugly isolators i did for the test i was doing for the Icons ? instead of circling the coil with them i just placed 4 of them where the contact marks were telling me. The clack clack is gone..

Also for those installing a set of rear Kings, All fit is dandy and peachy, at least in my case i had nothing to cut or shave.
The rears have an offset and just in case this is how i mounted mine
Note: the OE version doesn't have those welded shims you see in these ones. These are custom King rear shocks and they came with those welded in.

And of course new shocks can't go without the corresponding poser pics. The old testing ground is officially closed so i can't test the proper way, yet i was able to find a way to flex her legs to have a better idea of things will go

Initial testing just in case checking that nothing rubs, you can see the effects of the sway bar, one up the other down, nothing is in the middle of the way, except for my super expensive shaft guard. It's flexy lol so it wouldn't get damaged.

Thanks a lot bro.

Wanted to start tackling the bumper now but it's hot as chit again and i haven't even opened up the box yet :)
After that workout session from yesterday in 112F temps i want to stay away from the heat. Winch hasn't arrived yet anyways so i want to do this crap once. Bumper is 95lbs and the winch is 67lbs and i don't have a helper so i'll try to guide chit up with the floor jack. i'll wait for better temps hopefully next weekend. This weekend was some sort of anomaly.
