Make sure the plugs are clean and free of debris and corrosion. Then following the wiring and make sure its not damaged. Stock intake system?

Well, this is one of those things that drives me nuts as a mechanic and it's where parts are replaced just because the check engine light came on and set a code. The DTC that was set is an identifier for us as mechanics. The PCM saw something that it didn't like with the Intake Air Temp and what it saw was a "circuit high" condition which means that the PCM saw voltage on the return circuit that was higher than the standard parameters.

Circuit high conditions happen when a sensor shorts out internally or like when the signal wire or return wire is shorted to B+ battery voltage. A scan tool really helps in these situations because it allows us to see what the PCM is seeing. In the event that you do not have access to a scan tool we can do some of the diagnostics with a DVOM and verify the ground at the IAT connector as well as the signal and return voltage.
