I just bought a 2014 Ram 2500. When I got home I went outside to get something out of the truck so I just unlocked it from the house, saw the lights come on like it was unlocked and go out. I get to the truck and it was locked. I grab the fob and come back out and hit the unlock button then like 4 seconds later it locked again and just kept trying to lock itself over and over again every 4-5 seconds. While I am in the truck my door unlock on my driver door will not work but if I hit the unlock on the passenger door then it will unlock and just lock itself again another 4-5 seconds later. I have cleaned the Fob and everything. Am I looking at a short of some kind in the Fob or is it something in my door?

Metal button inside has slipped off

You can glue it back, but wont stay for long. Ebay and amazon are loaded with replacements, but are mostly knockoffs.

It took me 2 times to find an ok one.

The metal contact disks under the rubber buttons come loose and can drift on the circuit board of the fob. Krazy glue worked on mine.
I also cleaned the whole circuit board with a paper towel & rubbing alcohol. It was pretty gunked up.

If you are carrying the fob in your pocket when this happens. Sometimes just bending over or twisting can put pressure on the fob inside your pocket and it might lock or unlock. Usually when I'm washing the truck and crouching down to wash the wheels it happens, or when I'm crawling under it to change the oil. Anything that puts pressure on the pocket with the fob. It dosen't happen enough for me to worry about it. Just be aware that it can happen.

ahatch10 did you ever figure it out. I also have a 14 Ram 2500 and it started doing the exact same thing tonight.

Welcome to the forum. ahatch has not logged on in 6 years. You might load test your battery. Slightly weak batteries cause all sorts of issues with our Rams.
