The opposite can always be true as well with fuel, as in it potentially can be air. What causes rich, too much fuel or too little air? same thing right.

I dunno, it is at least possible it is something else in this case. However, I think the fuel/air mix would have to be way off to get a misfire. Could be sensors or something, I would say it is possible with that second code. other symptoms?/ rough idle? shaking?

^^^^ read that, as I said there is a chnace this time it isnt cam, I say a chance. It might be worth it to throw a sensor or two at it. I see the o2 sensors 25 bucks for both of them shipped free ebay. I don't think we have mass air on 5.7, but clean all intake stuff, last time you cleaned throttle body, changed air filter, etc?

from his link these two are where I'd start. It might be the cam, as we know it is the main issue with that mis fire, but if it were me I'd try this on the off chance it is running too rich causing the misfire.

A faulty mass air flow or manifold air pressure sensor

Defective bank 2 O2 sensor/s

Using alfaobd I did a injector pulse graph
On acceleration 8 goes to 0

Ya need to pick it up today and swap it out. I'm hoping that will be the last of it. The plugs and coil pack helped

Just got the new injector in. No more misfire CEL. Still runs a little rough but getting better w driving it.

Fingers crossed brother, just maybe you will be the lucky guy I was talking about in my first post. I think it is still a longshot, but I will be real happy to hear that worked. The test will be on a long trip when you get that oil hot.

you mean it is cleared and came back after injector? Unhook battery for an hour, maybe do a reset. Just to be sure.

I used alfaobd to clear the codes. It is not calling for a cel to be present so I'm wondering if I need to hard reset the ecu
