Hi Folks,

I am new to this forum as I have purchased a new 2015 Ram 3500 Dually from the dealer a few months ago. This truck is equipped with the 6.4L Hemi gas engine.

I am having an issue if anyone could add some input.
At around 400 miles of driving on this new truck, the engine light came on. In checking the codes it throws 4 codes all at once as follows:

P04D0 - EGR Temperature Sensor "C" Circuit Low
P04CE - EGR Temperature Sensor Circuit
P2457 - EGR Cooler System Performance
P040B - EGR Temperature Sensor A Circuit/Performance

The engine light stays on and never goes off.
It has been back to the dealer and they have replaced the EGR Temperature Sensor twice. The codes can then be cleared but the light will come back on after a few starting cycles and then stays on. Clearly the sensor is not the issue and they also stated they checked the wiring. One of the mechanics there stated that maybe it is the ECM. Clearly they are guessing at this point.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with the 6.4 Hemi truck motor? From what I understand, this truck engine was designed from the Hemi car engine and EGR cooling was enhanced for this motor. It's hard to find any information from others on this engine as most of the folks have the Cummins Diesel engine in a 3500 like mine. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Never had this problem with mine. And I haven't seen this described by others, either.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the EGR isn't working properly or it has failed.

The dealer should be able to make this right without guessing.
