2015 RAM uconnect issues

Having troubles with Uconnect working on my 2015. Being told by Uconnect that the chip in my radio is only compatible with 3g cellular service. That basically, my radio is obsolete. Was told by Uconnect to get a 4g adaptor. Received adaptor and plugged it in. Still not working. My whole Uconnect services package is non-existent with out 4g+ capability. Uconnect said this is a growing problem as cell towers through out the country are upgraded. Seems Dodge has ****** some folks.......Anyone with similar problems???

My wife and I were just talking about this earlier today, that more and more 3G things are going to just stop working. There are some non-cellular alternatives like LoRa but of course they require industry adoption I don't think there's much an end user can do to accelerate that.

Makes me glad I just got the base model radio in my Ram.. stuck a Garmin nav unit on the dash with lifetime updates so once a year I plug it into my laptop to install the newest maps. Garmin seems pretty solid about that, I had a handheld GPS from ~2002 that I was still able to update with the newest maps in ~2018 (!!) .. right before bringing it to the ARC thrift store with my other donations.

Ewww that sucks. Sounds like a problem for me to not look forward to. I'm subscribing to see how this ends.
