Here's my build, I have a few more plans moving forward but I got this truck in January 2020 and have enjoyed setting it up to what I like. It started like as the basic 2016 Ram 1500 Express with the 5.7 Hemi with 8 speed transmission. Since then I have made some upgrades to build it as my daily driving toy that I take wheeling when I get the opportunity. Still used for hauling and weekend work on my property and I love how it turned out. Here's a list and photos of my favorite additions.
Upgrades:
Suspension: Biltein 5100 struts set at 3" lift, rear 1" lift springs with Bilstein 5100 shocks, Rough Country 3" Lift UCA, Clayton Off-Road Rear Control Arms and Panhard Bar
Body Lift: 1.5" Body Lift, not needed and I know a lot of people don't like them but it finished the look I was after and got the body out of the way for some of the trails.
Wheels and Tires: Vision M2 Overland 17x9 -12 offset with BF Goodrich KO2 37x12.5 tires, I run these at 33psi front and 31psi rear for the road and air down a lot for off road.
Drivetrain: PPE transmission pan and rear differential cover, Powertrax Locker, Amsoil used in everything but transmission, transmission heater delete
Engine: Hemifever tune, electric fan, K&N cold air intake
Exhaust: Borla Type S Cat Back System
Lighting: Alpharex Pro Series G2 Headlights, LED bulbs used in factory elsewhere
Interior: Changed instrument cluster to 7" instrument cluster (matched miles and hours at time of swap), Pioneer DVD headunit with PAC Radio Install Kit, Polk Audio Speakers, Added Blind Spot cameras to front and sides of truck (best upgrade ever), swapped to automatic HVAC controls
Future Plans? New taillights and third brake light with cargo cam, Tray Bed, Front Bumper
Any questions feel free to ask, I love this truck and have done everything myself minus the engine/trans tuning. The blind spot cameras are the best upgrade I made as knowing where your at on a trail, parking, etc is key to not getting stuck. It seems like an upgrade you wouldn't give 2 ***** about until you do it. Last time I went wheeling I didn't need a spotter so we all stayed in the truck as the cameras allowed me to see the lines easier.
