I have a 2017 3500 dually mega cab that I have recently equipped with a fifth wheel hitch. As such, I no longer have a use for my perfect condition ARE LSII silver tonneau cover.

I am trying to determine if this cover is specific to a 3500 mega cab dually, or if it will fit other models.

I get the idea from talking to ARE dealers they would prefer to sell new units than help me to get information to sell mine. Don't suppose I can really blame them.

I have yet to hear back from ARE.

Wondered if anyone on the forum might be able to offer some insight. I would like to be able to offer the cap with confidence to the owner of any Gen 4 with a 6'4" bed, but am hesitant to do so until I know better one way or the other.

As far as I know all the 6.4' beds are the same dimensionally when it comes to toppers/tonneau covers. If you search several manufacturers they'll list the 1500, 2500, 3500 all the same asking for bed length. There is no mention of dually.

What you say makes a lot of sense. Particularly from the vehicle manufacturer’s perspective. And pretty much is what I was thinking.

I suppose I could expand the question to any topper or tonneau.

Now maybe I could find someone with a 2500 Mega Cab to get some dimensions to verify

Thanks for the reply

Detailed drawings of the 1500 6.4' bed
If it matches this, it should fit everything with the 6.4' bed

SO the dimensional drawing that was furnished earlier in the thread gave me the idea to look for a similar doc on the 6'4" dually box. Found it! :)

Came away with documentation that shows a tonneau cover for a Gen 4 6'4" bed on a 3500 Mega Cab dually should fit any Gen 4 6'4" bed box. 1500, 2500, 3500 (srw or drw).

Thanks for the help folks.

I have subsequently received a reply to my inquiry sent to ARE indicating the same thing.
