If you actually put almost 24oz in your pressures would be high. I wonder if your gauges aren’t reading properly. Is one A/C line hot to the touch and the other cold?

So I went outside and started my truck. Grabbed low side line and you could feel the cold. Then high side hot. After a couple minutes low line side was not as cold. Here are actual line temps after running 2-3 minutes. While running I also put the cheap can gauge on low side for a reading. See pic.

According to that gauge on the can, it would be slightly overcharged but your high side readings don’t make sense. Honestly if it’s working fine and blowing cold I might be tempted to just leave it.

Thank you. I will roll with it and re-check tomorrow. I may also do a leak ‘dye’ look tonight just to see if anything is in question on that end.

Maybe Your gauges were stuck or the valves weren’t open all the way or something. Those readings are good now.

Today we had rain. Temp outside is 77 degrees. Drove my truck around. Ice cold.
40 degrees coming out the vents. Chilly.

Have you checked the charge on the system to see if its low? Also wow over 300k on a 2017!! whoever had it musta drove ALOT hope ya got a good deal on it.
I bought my 2017 1500 SLT 2wd with 3.6L V-6 used with 38,000 miles on it on 1/2/2018. I'll hit 210,000 this week. I'm at about half-life on my third set of tires. The only issue I've had is recent. There's a serious acceleration lag developing when it's cold. I had the throttle body replaced, and I use a Pedal Commander, but still have the issue. Other than that, it's been a phenomenal truck.

I took a leap of faith on this one. I really wanted a 2017 with a 6.4 and just needed one in my budget. :). Let me know what you find out on your lagging. Might help knowing later on down the the road.

I'm now thinking 6 new injectors and spark plugs. OEM for the injectors or something else?
