2017 trans issues

2017 ram 2500hd 6.4 At 51k miles I have no forward gears only reverse trans never slipped before it gave out just got back from picking up a Chevy frame unhooked the trailer made it smile up the road the rpm just shot uo to 5500 and the truck flashed the cel pulled over as much as I can with no forward gears plugged the scanner in and got incorrect gear ratio 1 next day have it towed to the dealer and 4 day later now still no answers on what blew. Anyone experience this?

Was it shifting fine before all this? If so sounds like a solenoid pack, common on the 545/65/66/68RFE trans...

Was perfectly fine didn’t give any issues then as I’m driving it starts reving up not moving had it towed to a shop they are having issues figuring out what went wrong

Like Corey said Valve Body something, good news imo. So you have the rfe yes? Good time to do all of the VB upgrades if it isn't under warranty. The GM solenoid seams to be the prefered solenoid. When it comes to anything rfe, only let the dealer touch it if they are paying for it, if not do the real upgrades and updates that can make the rfe one of the best tranny's out there.

Dealers going to cover it just waiting on the call they figured what gave going on day 5 I plan before the next one blows to have it upgraded $5k installed with 100k mile warranty if the dealer washing covering it is have it back as it’s only a 3 day turn around
