I am an avid Ram owner (we own 4 Dodge Ram's).
Having issues with my electronic system for our 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn.
Screen bubble, the radio jumps stations, it will automatically start calling random individuals on my phone, it will automatically mute conversations while I am driving, etc. This is a safety concern for myself as I do a lot of driving and make a ton of phone calls while driving as a mobile office. How can I resolve this problem?
Similar to sgrossi, we’ve purchased multiple Ram vehicles for business and personal use with little issue, until this screen delamination and complete fritz out of the entire system related to the screen on our 2018 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew 4x4. Our vehicle has been climate controlled garage kept since purchase, has 38.439 miles and pampered. Screen delamination has led to the same issues noted by forum member noted above. We cannot listen or utilize any of the features related to stereo, sxm, apple carplay, touchscreen, handsfree phone use, basically anything and everything that uses UCONNECT as an interface. It is a safety issue along with the obvious impact to the enjoyable use of the Laramie features desired. I’m hoping @RamCares can assist with this situation.

The prices on replacement screens have come down significantly if you wanted to DIY this. It's important to note these radios can delaminate from overheating too and the factory passive cooling can be improved while replacing the screen.

Im not sure I’m up for that, but will keep an open mind. Gosh, the truck has been driven less than 6500 miles/year. Overheating on the UConnect under any circumstane other than continuous 24 hour driving for days on end seems to indicate a recall worthy part. Have folks been reporting this to the NHTSA? I guess I need to do that. We cannot even use the NAV, along with all the other features that are unusable. No hands free phone use either. Ugghhh

It's a very common problem and many have had their radios replaced for free even out of warranty.

Don't stress over it. I replaced the screen in mine for $300 and about an hour of my time. 2018 is the primary year for this to be an issue. It's a super easy thing to do and there are many tutorials out there. If you can turn a screw and plug in a few connectors, you can swap it.

Even better now as the screen (P/N LA084X01) prices are back down to ~$100 (for the early revisions SL01 and SL02 that "might delaminate again) to ~$250 (for the SL03 version which is supposed to correct the delamination issue) for the digitizer and LCD assembly.
