I just leased anew RAM 1500 5.7hemi e-torque...1st check engine light came on with 600 miles..I went to Autozone...no codes where reported. I went to Dodge dealer again no codes...dealer reloaded flash and gave me the truck...…...2nd check engine light came on the next day around 700 miles ,..went back to dealer...they told me the was a low voltage problem ....they replaced the battery...next day 3rd check engine light came on….back to dealer..2 days later they stated the was a power problem...dealer contacted CHYSLER...they are waiting for reply ,,as to what parts to replace. Truck has 900 miles on it I am driving a loaner 2015...this is day 3. WTF

Yeah...it happens with new trucks/refreshes sometimes.

It's usually something simple but it takes some diagnostic time and input from the engineers back at corporate.

You aren't the only new truck owner to run into one of these glitches.

Heck, with my 2014 I had it for a total of two weeks and it went back into the Dodge Garage for a month...to have a new engine installed! Hopefully your issue can be resolved earlier than that.

now dealer is talking to CHRSLER CORP..for approval..they want to replace the power pack....but they can.t find any....considering LEMON LAWS

1150 miles and my CEL came on--dealer read the codes, and comes up as eTorque fan 1 stuck off--so I asked is it ok to drive until it is fixed? They do not know--Drives fine, and appointment set for December 5th to get it taken care of. Dealer has been good to work with but yeah, the new design/new year issues can be inconvenient. I have been without a spare tire for 60 days--while undercoating the truck dealer found a defect in the spare--and, my tailgate dampener has not functioned since purchased--the 5th all is supposed to be fixed.

Lemon Laws vary from state to state and are quite specific and it appears at this time, this is not a recourse for you to pursue.

For your place of residence (CT) they must attempt to repair it 4 times -or- cumulative of 30 days in the shop -or- a safety defect.

THIS IS 3RD TIME....the dealer has contacted CHRYSLER,they don't know where to get parts.Truck has been in shop for total of 10 days. At this point I think they are just guessing...no codes for 3 check engine lights.....

My guess is this is a supplier ship direct exchange item. They should be able to get it. This kind of item is generally not available for order from the dealer local warehouse. If I am correct the dealer should know this when he runs the part number for availability. Sometimes it also requires the Star Center to authorize. This whole thing sounds odd to me. You maybe right the dealer is guessing.

Dealer told me today that there were no error codes...engineer suggesting power problem..call CHRYSLER open my own customer service ticket.

DEaler took back loaner truck....they got me a rental from Enterprise.

My money says there is a ground problem with it if the check codes are not being retained.

I had the same thing happen to my 2019 Ram 1500 limited. First time at 155 miles then 2 additional check engine light warnings before 500 miles. The dealership, Secret City Dodge, found a vapor sensor that was triggering the warning light. I have not had any additional check engine warnings since they reset the computer and sensor after the 3rd incident. You might ask your service department to call Secret City Dodge in Oak Ridge, TN to go over what they did to fix my truck. Great service department!

Truck finally got in for the CEL--bad control board on the battery pack for the e-Torque--should have a new board in next Monday or Tuesday.

the dealer finally got the part … new48 volt battery pac.. dealer will replace tomorrow...

dealer replaced part and the truck was picked up Friday...….. now we wait and see what happens.
