Hi Guys, New to the Ram truck, bought this one almost 3 months ago. 5.7L V8 Hemi, 3.92 Rear Axle. Really like my truck, I had a new 1998 Ram Sport, and they have came a long ways. Sold my 1998 when it had almost 200000 miles on it. Still ran great. For the last few years I have drove a 2015 Ford F150, 6 cyl, 3.5 Ecoboost, it was a nice truck and I got a great deal on it. After getting this truck home, It was new so I never really got into it. The one I test drove, was fast but not as fast as the ford on the take off. So yesterday I was almost at 2000 miles and gave it a little run. 0 to 60 in 8 seconds, not to bad. still think the ford could beat it off the line, could be wrong. I'm getting older so not a big deal, but still can not get the tires to bark on take off. Should I be able to spin the rear tires or not with the 3.92 rear end. It does have Anti-Spin differential Real Axle. Here is the clip of my 0 to 60. That was from the peddle being pushed to the floor.

Looks good to me, those 8 speeds keep the RPM’s up nice a high.

I would have thought 3.92's would roast the tires when flooring it on take off. Does this have a limited slip ****-end?

it has a Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle, Maybe that is what is causing it not to spin, I have no Idea.

Thanks I will try that,
You will be surprised how much power it frees up. I tested the traction control on my old 5.7 in a dirt field. With traction control on it would kill the power immediately sensing wheel spin. Turned it off and was Wide Open sideways with a big smile on my face.

Buy a pedal commander. Takes all the lag out of the pedal. Makes the truck way more fun to drive. Doesn't add power, but gives you all available power instantly. Driving any stock truck now is boring.

Gave it a try and still could not even get a bark out of the tires. Drives like it has a governor on it. It has power but just will not let the rear tires turn freely

You must have 20" tires. I have the 17s, and I'm only a 1-legger. I can hardly prevent it from spinning from a dead stop.

Fiat must of changed something with the programming. From new my truck a 2014 Express Crew Cab with 3.21 gears would one tire fire all day long. I have 22s on there now and it breaks loose mashing it half way. And 8 seconds with 3.92s seems off to me.

Agreed, factory torque management holds the truck back. It also keeps the driveshaft in one piece.

Something's kookie there. I can't believe the tires won't break loose with the TC turned off.

Maybe try pulling one of the battery cables. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Make sure you turn your lights on while it sits. Helps drain any residual power. Basically the truck will do a relearn of your driving habits.

Something is not right here..........my ‘14 will spin my 35” MT’s with TC off and it would do this to the stock tires before it was tuned.
