I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited with 60k. The dash started to bubble. The adhesive must have failed and top layer of material came unattached from dash to for what looks like a bubble. I can’t find a upholstery shop to fix. Also both exhaust manifolds were leaking air. I purchased a autoExcel extended warranty. They refused to cover it. Don’t buy that extended warranty from a dealer. Also. Power folding mirrors started clicking and one it the other doesn’t always fold in. The autoExcel extended warranty wouldn’t cover that either. What can I do about my dash. I’m not buying a 3000$ dash from dealer.

Requesting a recall isn't a thing. And they will never issue a safety recall for an appearance problem. The best you can probably hope for is a TSB, but those only describe to the tech how to fix it, and are only covered by the original factory warranty. This is a somewhat common problem, and several members here have had the same issue. You might want to take a little time and search the forum for solutions other members have come up with.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I understand. Very disappointed in the quality of the dash and that The company (Ram) isn’t trying to assist to resolve this issue for its customers who pay 70grand for a Truck.

What I use to keep the "reflections " down and try and save the dash in the TX Heat: Does not really help yer problem, but maybe if you say cannot find a junk yard dog dash replacement, to cover the dash up ref appearance sakes. This cover is from Covercraft. If U do get a cover, there is a difference in Covers between a 2019 Classic DS truck and a 2019 5th Gen DT, just saying, the Gen 4 dashes are different than 5th Gen, something to remember if trying to find a replacement also.

Had the same problem in my 2019 Laramie Longhorn I bought used but mine was taken care of under warranty with no fuss from the dealer. If your out of warranty Ram won’t touch it unless you pay or find someone that is sympathetic to your issue at Ram.
