Gents, just picked up my 2021 and will need bags. I’ve been reading through the posts but would like info from someone who has installed on a 2020/ 2021. Can someone provide the specific part numbers for the cradles and bags? Any extra parts required? Not sure if I’m going to run onboard air or not yet. Best routing for the schreader?

Thanks in advance!!3D5EDBD8-9AED-4279-B9A4-60E0A81D1017.jpeg

Yes, have them on my 2020 to handle my Four Wheel camper. This is what I used. Pretty easy install. You will wind up discarding most of the mounting hardware and will need to drill and tap a hole where your bump stop is/was.

No extra parts needed. I ran the airlines to the licensee plate holes. Basically take out the screws holding the plate on, drill larger holes and mount them on the same side as to where the air bag is.

This is the route I did. Took about 1hour to install it all. Fairly simple.

@Udy2554 I saw your set up in another post. If I do, that’s what I’m going to do. Clean install!

Crazyjerry, yes it’s for weight. We have a travel trailer and quad in the box. I’ll be over payload ratings so at least want the extra support.

also personally I'd t the lines into 1 if you don't plan on doing a compressor setup. Otherwise you'll be measuring the pressure on both your lines instead of just airing them both up at once to achieve the height you want. to each their own though.

The issue I see with that setup, though, is with them not being independent the air from one bag can get transfered into the other bag. Say, if the truck is leaning/articulating a bit, it will push air from the bag being compressed into the other other bag that is not being compressed as much. I would think that would be quite detrimental in overall handling.

Typically you load your truck evenly. Very rarely will you have a lopsided load that’s that heavy.

What’s is the justification? You guys tossing 2000 on one side of your bed all the time?

No. 300 pound dirt bike on one side. Gen set on the other. But with are great US roads. Just like said the air going for one bag to the other. Its like not having them.well not that bad but you can tell. Maybe not as much with leaf springs. But with our coils for sure. But some people say bags dont limit travel. But they do. Thats why i have cradles as so. As for a leak just stop and let the air out of the good bag. But its not like there going to get a nail in them so it would be very rare for it to happen anyway.but this is me build your truck how you like.

Kinda surprised you would even need bags for that kind of load anyways. I tossed my 550 lb scout in the back and wouldn't need them.

It has nothing to do with an uneven load. But then again, if you did have an uneven load you couldnt air up accordingly with a single fill valve.

Mine are separated. But I have never put a different amount of air in each bag either. Always the same. Usually 20-30 pounds depending on the load.

The point is, when the bags are compressed they essentially start getting more air pressure in them. When one side is compressed, say when the truck is leaning in a turn, it will push the air from one bag into the other. Which in return, seems like it would create bad driving characteristics.

I'd be curious to see how much the bag could compress on the outside on a corner and push air to the other bag. I guess I wouldn't care too much because if should even back out anyways. Either way I've never had an issue and airlift actually includes the t kit with the non stainless setup so I'm sure it's fine. Having said all that if I had a compressor system I would have them separate as well.
