Howdy y’all. Have 34K on a 2021 Limited Longhorn bought used at 21K. Hemi tick is continuous for the last 1K.

Had the lifters replaced, no change. Put Valvoline FS 5w30 and the only result was a Check Engine Light.

I will take the advice of the other threads on here about the Red Line 5w30 and give it a go.

Redline or lube guard.
I chose to run Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 with a bottle of lube guard and Fram ultra synthetic xg2 filter on my new engine. Even with long tube headers the engine is more quiet than my previous 5.7 when it was brand new! Last one died @ 90k mi from the Hemi tick. Maybe you’ve caught it early, maybe it’s just a broken manifold bolt. Good luck!

Doesn't sound like any damage, try the Redline and lubegard, W royal purple oil filter 20-820, give it some time for it to quiet down.

What was the code with the check engine light? You should consider the filter choice as well, early 4 gens used a bigger filter and it is an option for later 4 gens. I assume it works on 5 gens as well, have a smaller filter on hand just in case it doesnt, but imo it is worth it to try especially when you have toick. It is found the smaller filter has thrown codes all by itself, at least one oil filter manu amsoil doesnt recommend the smaller filter be used on any hemi. Whatever fitament chart you use, plug in 2010 hemi and use that filter, or better yet use a royal purple 20-820, see filter thread for more info to why. 50% of these are lifters, the other 50% is exhaust bolts and that is more likely when the tick is continous.
