Some changes, even using AlpaOBD take a day or two and a few cycles to show up. Not unusual. Your Dealer should know that.

Ok that makes sense, however still no switch to turn it on/off on door lock settings/vehicle screen, which there is supposed to be

Like in AlphaOBD, which is just a civilian version of Stelantis software, those often have to be enabled separately from the actual enabling of the function. The customer selectable menu, which shows up on your EVIC, is mostly separate from the functions.

Seems to be a random problem I just purchased mine and no auto locks while it worked on another truck I test drove. IMO this is a safety issue with anyone with young rear seat passengers that can open the rear doors when unrestrained. Child door locks have their own problems as well. I sent a formal compliant letter to the NHSTA hopefully more truck owners will do the same before a accident happens. Additionally, and although it may be a stretch this may actually fall under many states' lemon laws. Hopefully my dealer resolves, maybe replacing the complete head unit or a software update will do the trick.

The solution is in post #4 of this thread.
Auto door locks are not mandated by NHTSA.
If I was truly concerned about children in the back seat opening the door, then I would simply extend my finger over to the master door switch on the driver door arm rest, and press the lock button to lock all the doors.

The solution in post 4 did not work. This is a software problem and is random vehicle by vehicle. A service bulletin has been put out regarding this, and when you purchase a new truck with the expectation it has auto door locks, then they should work. True Auto door looks are not mandated that is not the issue. Auto door locks have been standard equipment on nearly all Ram 1500 since 2010. As far as reaching over and hitting the lock makes as much sense as keeping my foot on the accelerator because the cruise control is not working. This is a safety issue for unrestrained rear seat passengers that the manufacturer is aware of.
