When you consider that the Demon 170 is a Hennessy car the reason for the upcharge is clear.

The demon 170 is not a Hennessy car. It is a last call demon from dodge. Hennessy USES a demon 170 as the donor for it’s demon 1700 package.

Ok, didn't know there was another one. The Hennessey might be worth $225k but the stock Demon 170 IS NOT. Maybe they are doing this because they are going to eliminate the Hemi in a year or so. Regardless, not a smart move in my opinion. Of course those who can afford it will buy it anyway even if it doesn't make sense.
