Had my 37's on now for to days and my average mpg only dropped 2 mpg. Can still boil a tire if I wanted to and Eco mode still come on all the time under 45mph. I'm just running the 3.55's till I save up the 3000 for a gear swap but everyone saying 3.92's and 37's are fine but 37's and 3.55's are a dog and so bad to drive are wrong. My friend has the same truck 2 more inches of lift and 3.92's and they feel the same when I drive both so it is doable

I would like to know this as well, also what other mods do you have done to the truck? Pictures would be good too!

I was getting 15.7 before but dropped to 13.8 driving around but went to play in some snow and mud and it dropped to 11 pretty fast but I was in 4 low all the time and motor and everything is all stock just has a dynomax race bullet. The actual mpg is better then what to evic is reading due to the over size tires but I'm actually impressed how wel it goes with the 37's

Did you hand calculate it? My evic has been high by 2 mpg before. Tire size makes no difference in how the evic reads mpg either. It's how hard the engine is working to get those tires moving. I wouldn't trust the evic lol.

its all off the evic and bigger tires will throw it off because of the added diameter of the tire going further in the same amount of rotation as the stock tires did. and as far as being hard to get going it takes off the same as it did with the 33's as far as pushing the pedal

Do a hand calculated test, I'm willing to bet it dropped more than 2. My 35's dropped more than that and they're a good bit lighter.

I don't mean to be a Debbie downer, but it's treads like this that had me optimistic on mpg loss when I was looking into lifting. Evic numbers are ******** unless backed by hand calculated, everyone knows they're off, depending on what type of driving you do can make them more or less accurate. I lost a lot more than I thought I would mpg wise because of seeing threads where people quoted evic numbers instead of real hand calculated. Before my 35's my evic read constantly 1 L/ 100 kms (2 US) mpg low. Now it's anywhere from 1-2.5 L/100 kms off. Unless of course I do a test where I only drive highway without many stops, then it more accurate.

It's too bad that they can't be more accurate, I'd love for mine to be right all the time, but whatever, at least I can count on 1-2 mpg lower and if it's better than that, I'm happy!

Did you recalibrate/correct your speedometer? If not, your MPG calculations are not accurate.

no its not calibrated yet I'm still waiting on a tuner but crusing at 55 the evil was right at 14 mpg but that 55 in closer to 65 so I'm gunna guess it didn't drop to much but ill hand calculate my next tank but it'll be a while due to me driving 600-800 miles a month and most of that is small town driving or pulling out my idiotic friends:crazy:

What size lift do you have? This review gives me a little hope. I have a 4.5" maxtrac lift sitting here about to be installed and possibly a 3" BL. I REALLY want to do 37s but after all the talk about not being able to with 3.50 gears, I've been steered away and was planning on 35s soon. After your review, I'm wondering if all the bad reviews is with a 4 door??? I have test drove the same truck in a Regular Cab(which I have) and Crew Cab, and the crew cab felt quite a bit slower and sluggish off the line.

6 inch rcx lift and this is a regular cab short bed 6 speed and honestly my 35's are about the same as my 37's as far are driving. But on my way home from work I was coming up my hill at 27 mph I punched it for fun and the back end wheel hopped for a sec then broke traction till it shifted to 2nd. This was on wet pavement of course but still it's no race truck but can easily get the job done and will hold me over till I wanna fork out 3 grand for gears

Do you know how much your tires weigh? Some are quite a bit heavier then others. You have nittos right? Why do you want to change the gears if it drives just fine now?

Tires are around 90-95 and its drives fine now but bigger is always better. Eventually this truck will have a supercharger on it but I'm only 18 and still trying to save for a house and such

Wow those are heavy compared to others! Are they 12.50 or 13.50 wide?? I wanted to get Cooper STT, good tire for a good price. Their 37x13.50r20 weigh 84lbs. Anybody here know what it would take to run those tires in terms of lift and rim offset...preferably with a 10 inch wide rim? Your truck looks really good though! A supercharger would be bad ass as well. If this truck wasn't my daily driver I would probably already have a supercharger. lol

I've done a lot of research for light weight tires, and here are a few I know of you might want to check out-

Yokohama Geolanders 37x12.50r20 are about 73lbs (lightest by far)
Amp 37x13.50r20 are about 78lbs - the lightest MT I've seen
Kuhmo AT 355/60R20 are about 80lbs and about $330, cheapest 37 I've seen.

Damn that's a crazy jump in weight. I just started looking at the Coopers instead of the RL Grabbers, so much lighter.
