I thought I'd change my plugs instead of paying the dealership, then I looked under the hood. [emoji2955] The three on the passenger side are straight forward, but the driver side?

Took off the air intake, no problem.

Do I need to remove the plenum? If so, how?

I tried searching first but not much luck with the 3.6L engine. Any links or videos or advice is appreciated!

Check out Motor City Mechanic on Youtube. He has a bunch of 3.6 videos that may help.

Yep. The plastic intake manifold has to come off for the left side bank. It's like 8 bolts and one bracket for the breather hose I believe. I haven't done a pentastar, but I've done some similar V6s. It sounds a lot scarier than it is.

DANG! 100K miles on a 2016? I thought I drove a lot with my measly 17-20K/year.

I've heard the spark plug change is difficult on the 3.6 and time consuming.

Be careful, the top of the plenum is thin and brittle.

He's got some good videos but not on a Ram truck. The configuration is different. Thanks though.

The procedure between vehicles will be very similar. They all have the bracket on the driver side from the intake to the cylinder head. Two 10mm nuts. There’s a bracket on the front just under the throttle body. Two 10mm nuts on the side and two 10mm bolts from the front.
There’s another small bracket that goes from the passenger valve cover to the intake. Two 10mm bolts and you can bend it out of the way.

After that it’s the 8mm intake bolts, and disconnecting electrical connectors.

Do I need to drain anything or are they all air and vacuum hoses? Seems to have several hoses attached around the intake. Sorry to sound so uninformed.

It should be a very similar/same process than the Grand Cherokees. I know there's write-ups on their forums. Good luck.
