I know there's close to 1000 threads on what tire goes with what gear, but I couldn't find a whole lot on 2500s. With dana 60s and what I believe to be 3.55s (the glove box says 3.55 but yet I do 1900 rpm at 70mph) , would 33s or 35s be okay with my somewhat beefier transmission?

If you have an auto then same rule applies as it's the same as the 1500 trucks 46re, if it's a stick truck no big deal as it will have the nv4500.

As a kid still paying for college that's a little out of my budget, think I'll just do a two inch lift (if they make them that low) with 33s . I don't need too much clearance, just enough for late night trail rides.

For the record, which I know it's not a great idea and I wouldn't suggest it, I run 37s with 3.55s with a stock 46RE. Haven't had problems... Yet.....

You don't need a 2" lift. You'll have plenty of room for 33s stock.

You could always try the trade/swap thing.

"For swap or trade Dodge 2500 front a rear Dana 60's with 3.55 ratio for Dana 60's with 4.10 ratio".

Never hurts to try.

I could always do that if I could find some one locally. And I really like having the space between tire and truck, hence the 2 inch lift

Yep that's what I was thinking, with that size it shouldn't run too much into my wallet

Look into what merc said and try and find a set of Dana 60s with 4.10s. Should be a super easy swap...

If I can find one locally i'm going to jump right on it. I just live in god's waiting room where the average age is 72 (literally) and they all drive a smart car, but I will definitely search every now and then.
