What's your wheel dimensions Sir ?

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

My wheels are 20x9 with a 0 offset. The 0 offset offers the lowest chance of rubbing. I’ve got no rubbing at from lock to lock. When you increase the offset you also increase the chance of rubbing. That can be fixed with some trimming.

just as an example, this rim would be a 17 or 20, this one 17 and no larger, both about the same weight, but the spoke rims are gonna be able to handle more. What's harder to bend sheet metal or a metal bar? That's the principal.

That 17” one is cast aluminum just like the 20” one . Not sheet metal by any means. Though i get your point.

Somehting funny not funny, a few weeks ago a dude was blocking my driveway, I was like wtf. Well it was a teenage kid who hit a pothole and his rim busted in half. He was about to call aaa, I said you have to be kidding, lol. He had never changed a tire, so I gave him some man training, still a ways from getting the card, but at least we got him in the right direction. It was similar to the black rim, but way smaller, just cracked straight in half off hitting a pot hole. As we were changing his tire, some dude with 20's and those tiny tires maybe 4 inches wide, blew his tire on the same pot hole as we were changing the tire. This will make you laugh, he drove home on the flat tire, lol, well his rim didn't break and those tires or so thin, who knows if he made it? he got out and looked at his flat, got back in truck and slowly pulled away with flashers on. Those were spoked rims, and they were fine, who knows if he drove far? Anyhow, avoid a big truck that gets used hard and those rims that look like they could have been punched from sheet metal, they aren't strong.

I know, not saying they were punched, just searching for the right description, just saying something about how thin the metal was compared to thick spokes.

Milestar Patagonia Mt on the cheaper side for 35s, good road manners and awesome reviews. Supposed to be great in the winter as well. My buddy has them in 33s and loves them. If I go mud tires with my next set, this is what I'm running.

i have 35x12.5 on my 14 sport. stock sport wheels with spacers. im very impressed with these tires. they performed great this winter. i threw everything at them....plenty of snow, ice rain. make a little noise but dont bother me at all. in the snow they would "float" just a bit here and there but totally controllable. i drive up and over a mountain and had to do it in 2wd one morning in 5" of snow due to a bad wheel bearing / sensor. tires are very predictable. i will probably buy a new set of them in stock size and run these 35s.in the summer

Cooper ST Maxx, noisesy ish, but all the oil field guys run them and they never have issues getting where they need to go. They work great on the logging roads during hunting season. And they are tough as ****!

I love this guy. Straight forward humor. Thick skin required [emoji23]

I do like the 17" wheels , but it says 8" wide ...I need 9 to 10 for a 35x12.5 tire

As for wheels, I’m partial to Black Rhino, these are probably a little busy for most, but they have a good textured finish that just hoses off. Easy to keep clean by just spraying them off.

Yes sir [emoji106] a zero offset is what I'm wanting to reduce rubbing at full lock ....I'm not opposed to running a -12mm wheel and a small 1/4" spacer up front to prevent rub if I had too [emoji106][emoji2533][emoji106][emoji2533]

Most 35/12.5/17” require 8.5 minimum width up to 11 max. Where a rim is narrow for the tire they are harder to make a good contact patch but are better for airing down and off roading. The wider rim is easier make a good contact patch but be carful airing down and off roading. I always go skinny as i can with a rim.

JMO.

Wide rims make the tire look a LOT bigger though.

Goodyear duratracs. I have em, I like em, but not enough to warrant them again. I've never run a tire type repeatedly on any of my trucks. I like trying different options.
