I do like those wheels , how long have you had them ?

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I bought them on back in October from discount tire direct and have put about 3k miles on them so far. They were running a special on the tires at the time. 4 ko2's, 4 wheels, 4 new tpms sensors, 4 hub rings. Mounted, balanced, shipped to my font door for free. $1611.

Highly doubtful [emoji28] at least not this tire purchase , if I install a lift in the future maybe but not likely [emoji1360]

My apologies RLK I should’ve clarified I knew you were only gonna run 35s but Ram1500rsm has been talking about making the jump to 37s so my question was actually aimed towards him.

OK, I'm skipping over all the answers because (I don't really care about all the bling tire stuff) you sound like you and I have the same tire and rim styles. I am going to be putting on 35's and 17" rims on my truck as soon as I get some cash flow.

I have a stock-height '12 2500. I like the lifted look so I'm putting a Rancho 4" lift on the front and a 2" lift on the rear. I am going with 35" BFG Mud Terrains. I have been using that model of tire for the past 25-ish years on 3 different trucks. And I mean the MUD terrains, not the A/T's... I haven't decided what wheel yet but am going with a more classic look, in black, 17". -Maybe- 18" if I can't get the wheels in 17". It's getting harder to find 17" wheels because everyone apparently likes the Harlem cruiser looks of the blinged-out tall wheel/low profile tire. Forget trying to find anything 15" anymore! Ha!

Here are the wheels I'm looking at -

http://www.fueloffroad.com/wheel/5759/fuel-1-piece-wheels-beast-d564/?finishID=1073&lugs=6
https://www.americanracing.com/product/wheels/ar969-ansen-offroad/
https://www.kmcwheels.com/product/w...e_pa_finish=satin-black-with-reinforcing-ring
https://www.americanracing.com/product/wheels/ar172-baja/?attribute_pa_finish=satin-black
https://www.motometalwheels.com/product/wheels/mo990-rotary/?attribute_pa_finish=gloss-black
https://www.racelinebeadlocks.com/p-1526-rt81-rock-8-steel-beadlocks.aspx

I more or less listed them in the order of my interest...

Toyo AT2 in an “extreme” size. Not sure if you know but their new AT design, the “AT2” has a few different sizing options that are considered their “AT2 extreme”. This basically means they gave a small amount more gap in between the tread blocks to make them a bit more aggressive. The Extreme sizes can be seen on their site.
These are deceiving. Much more aggressive in person. Just a fantastic tire Ron.

I almost went with Arsenal’s but they were backordered nation wide, turns out it was for the best. I love the Armory’s

I do like the 17" wheels , but it says 8" wide ...I need 9 to 10 for a 35x12.5 tire

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I have 315 X17 (34.4" X 12.7") BFG KO2s on 8" wide wheels on both my 2015 Ram and my 2016 JK. The 315 KO2s on the JK are the load range C version, I do think they ride slightly better than the range E KO2s that are on my truck. Sometimes the load range C tires are on sale at some of the 4X4 places for under $200 a tire shipped, next time around I am going to put the C range on my 1500. The 8" wheels on my 1500 are older stock Ram 5 spoke aluminum wheels with 1 1/4" spacers behind them, as pictured in my avatar.

They look cool and i'm sure they're really strong/tough, but don't buy those if you use your truck as a daily driver as you will warp your brake rotors often as they don't let air in and out enough to cool your brakes off in a lot of stop and go. I've seen it happen a lot. Just wanted to give you a fair warning and not pick on or trying to show any disrespect towards U&A as it was a good example of a strong wheel.

All the roughnecks around here, and electric company guys who go out in all types of weather, down some of the worst roads, run these. I love them. They really are tough as ****!

I ran a 295/75/17 on my 1500 with Bills at 2.8, and Tuftruck 1223 springs in back. Ran Nitto Terra Grapler tires and they were great. Wheels were 17x9 Fuel Beast with a -12mm offset.

How are these in the snow?? I'm considering either those or BF Goodrich AT KO2s. I'm already running the BFGs now and they're great for leaving the line, but stopping not so much in snow. I was in a bad snow storm yesterday and they handled great except for stopping as I slid more than I stopped. I've run BFGs on a lot of my trucks and they've always been good tires, but i've also had some Ridge Grapplers that were great in the rain and snow, but never the Terra Grapplers and i've seen where a lot of people like them. I'm just wondering how they do in the snow. Obviously everyone drives differently so that will affect some answers, but i'm just looking for an opinion on them.

Went through about 9 inches in the mountains, down some switch backs, and it wasn’t an problem at all. Stopping was good, I had chains but never even thought about stopping to put them on. I’ve used them during the winter hunting in some serious mud/snow, and never wanted for more traction. They are loud and don’t give much on the road, but I’ll take that trade.

I agree,

If you can, go with toyo AT2, toyo RT or BFGKO2. Top choices IMO. Great milage and performance

Thank you sir! I'm not so much worried about road noise. I do like the ride in the BFGs as they're pretty forgiving with their big sidewalls, but they don't handle all that great around turns because of the same sidewalls. BFGs also can take a big pothole without worries of blowing out better than a lot of tires because of being a 10 ply tire and the bigger sidewalls. I would like to have a little better handling though. So, i'm trying to figure out which way to go right now as I know I need new tires before Winter hits again.

IMG_0347.jpg IMG_0346.jpg Also, in case the OP wants a picture of my truck with the 35x12.5x17 BFG AT KO2s on Moto Metal wheels (not recommended as my clear coat is going), here is a picture of it. Keep in mind I have a 4" Rough Country Lift on my truck as well and I had to do some trimming of the wheel wells. Not much, but a little.

I have a Laramie because I actually DO like chrome. But I switched from 33” X 12” KO2’s on the factory 20x9’s to 35”x12.5’s on factory 17x8’s. I wheel it often and needed more sidewall for airing down.

I'm running Duratrack 295 x 70 x 17's and they been a great tire, I Think the 305's would be close to 35 inches and they have an 80,000 km warranty

On my dually I'm running Hercules AT II 245x75r17. They have been great, but an AT vs MT, zero road noise and great mileage for tread wear. I have 45k mi on them and they have 15-20k mi left. I tow a not so heavy 14k 5th wheel and I do end up in mud every so often. Not let me get stuck yet,sm even with duals.

They look AWSOME!! I love more sidewall!! Unfortunately i cant do 17”[emoji3525]. Tire load ratings take a hit going from 18” down to 17”.

I’m running 35x11.5 20 Nitto Ridge Grappler. I really like them in everything I’ve had them in. Minimal road noise.... similar to BFG AT KO2 I’d say. I’ve run them too but so far I like the Nitto’s better.

I’ve got the Nittos on my truck too, but I think the KO2’s are better in the snow.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.
